Hello all!
Winter is here for us stuck up north(eh). That means cabin fever for some of us which gives a little extra time to post stuff like this. It lead me to reflect on those warm sunny days and reminisce of those favorites caught. This is not by any means a "lump' but it was the only mirror I landed from Hamilton Harbour here in Ontario, Canada. I have caught others in previous sessions but the carp gods were not as generous this past summer. The aesthetic characteristics made up for the smaller size. This one was shaped like a football due to all that corn she sucked back. Hamilton Harbour is my favorite swim and hopefully one day, who knows? I'll catch her again!?
My little sweetheart caught on pier8.(aaaaahh)lol
Cheers

Ice carp! Another example of "It can be done". Right on! Thanks for posting it. I look forward to your "detalils".

It's the fact that it's possible to catch carp that size is ONE of the main reasons I do it at all. Pic's like that get my 'carp adrenaline' going and keep newer carp anglers like myself inspired to learn more about tactics, gear and methods.-cool

I think it's better to have 'clicked' and lost, than to never have 'clicked ' at all... Way to go on the PB.

Better luck next time!

The only other time I've seen a fish like that before was in an aquarium. Wow! Quite the catch!

I've fished at night in Hamilton harbour near the steel plants and have caught the same 'glow in the dark ' carp but for real

Sweet rainbow buddy. Way to go!

Here in Southern Ontario ( Canada ) on the border with the United States, I've caught my share of them. There's definitely no need to breed them in these parts. I think they are great looking fish and very scrappy for their size.

I caught and seen a lot of one eyed carp this season.

Brilliant! Thanks for sharing your story and snaps!
