  1. the carp jump and all that here to. they bit all day and i have had good luck fishing them in the dark. and go with jim/mo sweet corn is a good start or get some cornmeal, mix with flower and add a bit of water at a time and keep adding flower till it seem good to stay on the hook. i break a peice off and stick it to my hand, if it dont leave any on my hand its good. ive only been carp fishing for two years and this forum is great, PM me if you want and ill help with what i can.

  2. are you leaving your drags tight? if you dont have a baitrunner set your drag as low as it can go. that may help with the fish feeling resistance. i also use yellow line and i dont think it scare the fish. i catch carp, smallmouth, trout and everything inbetween. but everyone has there own say.

  3. if the are crayfish where you fish get a crayfish patteren, look for a carp kicking up mud and try casting to it, well past and pull about a foot in front of his nose, fast jerks like a crayfish would swim. a yellow streamer may work, i have caught carp on 1 inch yellow mr.twisters. as for room it depends on how far your casting and if theres trees or brush.
