  1. Martyn,

There are three of us on this side of the state, You, myself, and Rich (Richypoo). The fishing is great as we have alot of public waters with nice well groomed parks as well as a TON of state owned land that is a bit more rustic, but just as enjoyable.

I am looking forward to touching base with you on some possible swim ideas so we can get together in the spring and haul some beautiful commons.

  5. Would anyone be interested in doing a carp camping weekend next June?

    What I know so far...

-Would like to stay at a campground

-Each person would be responsible for booking their own site ect.

-Fish in the river have been caught to 20+ pounds by a Michigan carper (With pictures to prove it)

-Camp sites are located on the river itself, so in theory night fishing would be possible, if alarms were on silent (Quiet hours)

Just looking to gauge interest before I make phone calls to determine dates ect.

  7. Hello All the Wooden Shoe 2016 planning has been going well. The dates for the WSCC in 2016 will be May 21-22 at Kollens Park in Holland, Michigan.

There will be a few changes to the WSCC this year so please read carefully.

First and foremost the entry to the event will begin by private invites going out to those who fished last year. Once the spots are confirmed or declined I will open up the event to anyone that is interested. First priority at that point will go to Michigan anglers followed by anglers whom have fished the event prior. Please state your interest via the CAG website forums.

I will also be requiring a deposit this year ($25), to ensure that anglers are committed to coming and I do not find myself trying to fill spots the last two weeks because “random” things come up and people are forced to drop out. If you pay the deposit and then back out your entry is donated the WSCC to help cover costs and expenses. There will be no exception to this. The person whom fills a spot of someone who backed out will still be required to deposit $25 dollars of their own to hold their spot.

The money collected will go to pay for a venue for our dinner, lunch each day, as well as the wooden shoes. Any deposits left over will be used to purchase prizes for the event.

If you have any questions about this please contact me directly.
