What a great time! It was great spending the day with Mark and getting to meet Attila, the pole angler, Hoppy, DCMurphy and his dad,Axel and getting to see Tommy, Pat, and Phil again. Thanks to Mark and everyone and we will be back. Great place for a family vacation. Heres a few pics...
10 minutes after we got there I had my first D.C. fish...
5 minutes after that James and Charley had a brace for their first carp of the day...

Compliments of Vinny. Kinda captures the moment nicely! Fun day, caught a few (including from a new water for Vinny).
I guess it kinda shows me freelining... Happiest when doing so..
Thanks V...
I don't see no freelining going on. All I see is a chubby, highly over-rated wanna-be with a tiddler.

You da buff man Justin.
Did ya let the soybean sour on its own or did ya make it with fermented maize water?

Imitation bait?
I've had turtles strip my hair of partridge pop-ups so imitations don't always help either.

I hate to fish in the wind. But I have always had my best days with a light to moderate brezze blowing. I have also had great success near boat launches or where waverunners are stirring up the bottom.

macfish here. Gil, would the canal you mention happen to be Broad Ripple? I lived in Indy for a year back in the early 80s. Very nice looking bass, better than any I've ever gotten. Maybe I need to start putting a hair on all my bass lures. Jonathan
Yep. Thats the B.R. canal. We've had several 20s outta there this year.

both baited with sweetcorn (by the way, the most AWESOME can of sweetcorn ever, the stuff was gnarly huge and tough as leather)
I too get excited when the sweetcorn is kickin'.

It was tuff Matt...but I pulled through.

After the 20 I put up that rod and started putting all my bankstics and alarms up as I left my rods laying on the ground as I always do with the baitrunner engaged. And for the 3rd time this year I landed another fish while my rods were laying on the ground. Not a bad day and alot better than going to work.
