    Tom.

Bring it on! We'll already be warmed up when most are just arriving. 2 full days on the bank before the ATC even starts. Are we gonna have fun or what?! :D

  3. Not sure about the Hotel in Austin feaking out about corn in the bath, but the hotel in Cambridge in the UK certainly freaked out when they learned 12 guys had stuck gallons and gallons of maggots in their bath the night before a National (Over 1000 anglers) championship.  :D

They actually asked us to vacate our rooms on the evening after the match, when we finally arrived back after the celebration shandies.  Kicked us right out, on the spot.!!!! :D  :D

Some very unhappy, drunken Yorkshire anglers that night!!!! :D

    Karl :D

    :D:D:D

  4. I was thinking....to avoid having to buy multiple buckets to soak corn....since the Hoosier guys will have 4 rooms, maybe we could use 1 of the bathtubs to soak a couple hundred pounds. Would the hotel managment freak out about this?

  5. charlie I have gone through 5 gallons in a afternoon if the fish are in front of me I was baiting up with a boat though, you might look into getting a bag of range cubes when you get down here they work great you can use them as hook baits as well seen a lot of fish caught on them you dont have to worry about preparing them either

    Thanks for the info Zach.

  6. Neil....I'm just going to be happy being there in the sunshine, in a comfy chair, with 90 of my closest friends. If I get a run, catch a fish....it is only a pleasent distraction. :D

    CAN YOU FEEL IT?!?!?!

  7. Does the Wal-mart sell fieldcorn? If the hotel rooms have stoves, is their cookware? Like a big stockpot? We're is the boil taking place? The hotel or somewhere else? How far is it from the airport to the hotel?

  8. Just wanted to stop in and say Hi.  I love fishing for carp, I think they are some of the best fighting fish around.  Just waiting for  lake Michigan to warm up a bit then I will be hooking up on some carp.  Until next time..............

Welcome to the forum. I'm from Indy and we have a local chapter of CAG called "HoosierCarpers" that have about 9-10 get togethers (Fish-ins) a year. We've got a couple of members in N. IN. We'll be having a fish-in at Pike Lake in Kosicko county this year. Maybe you could make that one? Click on the link in my signature and check out our Indiana carp forum for more info. Are you a CAG member?

    Take Care
