it is always the silent one that talks the loudest!!!!!
Atleast you have an excuse......You "aint" been here!!! The Hooch has not been kind to some of us this year but it has blessed a couple with gold! Another fine day on the Hooch
Congrats to our new Sultan!!!!

You guys are killing me with these adventures!!!!
Looks like fun wish I could have been there. Sounds like Gage is hitting a new PB every week, awesome to see how well he is doing and how fast he is growing.

As the snow started to fall yesterday, I too recalled several sessions of recent bank talk that welcomed March and warmer weather. LOL!! On the positive side we are still one day closer to the warmer weather that is sure to come. Along with what I am sure will be one of the best Carpin years any of the crew has ever experienced!!! Plans have been made and there are many new venues in store for us!!!!
Come on SPRINGTIME!!!!!

It was a wonderful day to be bankside! Unfortunately my wife had plans for me other than fishing!!
I bet I wasnt gone 20 minutes and the Ol Cap calls and says he has one on!!!!!! I believe he has those fish trained!!!
WTG Cap, good things come to those who wait, and we have all been waiting for a few weeks
-
Well atleast we don't have to catch 'em to have a good time. It was a beautiful day (nice and warm), and you could'nt have asked to be around any better folk!! There was plenty of time for banktalk today, It was nice to have the crew gathered together again.
Bigbird you were missed my friend......the crew is not complete without you there to entertain
Just glad I got a chance to be there and have a line in the water

Don't listen to Iain (he's a certified City-ot).

If someone fishes the ramp are they considered a Turbanite? If to many fishermen show at once do you fear Turban Sprawl? What are the effects of Turbanization and can they be reversed?
Turbanite, Turban Sprawl.....

There wasn't much to the fishing today, but the banktalk was great. It has been several weeks since I have had an opportunity to be part of the crew. It was all that I remembered and then some!!!
It was great seeing all today look forward to more good times!!!

Allatoona- no fish
Not trying to start anything and I have heard this from others, but it is just hard for me to grasp a lake of this size with out a good population of Carp. Based on my experiences on West Point and Lanier and reports from other reseviors, I would assume that Allatoona would be a decent lake also. I know there are lots of fish in Lanier and West Point and they are relatively reliable with decent pre baiting. What makes Allatoona different??
Any ideas why?????

45- 50 degrees and sunshine I'll make a road trip!!! Somebody help me, my "Honey do List" is growing by the pages with this cold weather!!! I got to get out and fish......"out of sight out of mind"
Scott I agree with Bird TURN THE FAN OFF!!!!
-
Come to think of it that was MY line he had in his hands when he went toes up. Dose that count as getting one on the bank?
Tim you bring new meaning to the term "Drive by".
I just wish I could have been there, a classic moment. 2009 is off to a fine start at the Hooch.

For some unknown reason I always miss the "BIG" moments at the Hooch!!
Cooldad, Bigbird you are true firstmates, way to stick with The Ol Cap even when he is down
The "Lightning Rod" was at hand and you did not get it
I am so thankful the rules for the "4 on the Floor" contest did not include "mullets or any resemblance to a mullet", its bad enough dealing with the ego of a Sultan, could yall imagine what it would be like if he was the reigning Sultan and had a 290lb lead on our 4 on the floor contest!!
Last but not least, Glad you didnt get hurt Horace!!!!
and roll!

Ray:
You are absolutely right. You just never know who may be next!!!
"His Highness Maximus Relaximus"
Now that has a ring to it!
-
"Horace Ol Captain His Highness Lafavor"
It is a well deserved and fitting honor for you to be our first Sultan of the year, I know catching the first Hooch carp on the "Lightning Rod" with its "new" Mitchell 300 reel was a treat for you .
But beware there are powers at work that say that rod must go!!!!! I have to admit that I agree. There is as much magic in the "Lightning Rod" as in Excalibur. A truly unfair advantage that no bait can overcome, a rod that has magical magnetic carp catching abilities.
Listen to BigBird keep that Rod close, one of your faithful band of misfits just may beat you to the Pulldown!!!!!

Man how I've been missing "that hallowed patch of Georgia red clay". As I looked at the pictures I remembered my first day on the bank with you and the rest of the Crew. Looking forward to some time with you guys soon.
