Nice job, the snap is going to be a staple in the bag for a lot of people.

Seeing as how I can't catch a common to save my life, I took a couple freinds north to a private puddle LOADED with grassers. Usually you catch a fish and leave because its so small, the one fish causes a commotion to the point the others won't bite. Yesterday was a little different, I managed three myself biggest being 18lbs 12ozs, and my buddy landed one, his first ever. My first fish came on freelined bread floating on the surface, and the other three were on sweet corn on the bottom with a 1/4 oz sliding egg sinker. I wish I had measured the bigger fish, as I'm sure it was pushing 40 inches if not longer. Still havn't caught a common this weekend, heading out now, hoping things will change.

I don't lose alot of fish, actually only a couple a year. I use a pretty simple rig, same as my catfishing setups, either a no roll sinker, or inline method gripper lead. Im going to experiment with the pack this year, and try to nail down the ratio a bit better. We do fish the margins, especially if the water is really moving, but the bigger fish 20-30lbrs seem to come from the opposite inaccessible shore, either in the main channel or on the other side. Still a month away from being able to fish it, so I'll have a better idea of what to change around when the time comes.

I love when the end result of a carp trip is the conversion of a bass guy to a carp guy lol
