Good Job and Good Luck!

I believe that there's a STINKIN' MONSTER lurking in those depths!

That is slick ...in addition to being very informative! thanks!!!

That's alot of action for an hour "session"!
are you using the glowbug and nymph simultaneously under the "indy" (assume short for indicator?)
-
Strongest knot and easy to tie, use it on all my swivel knots, never had it slip

That place is really special Horace! ...especially considering that it offers such a vast "variety"
They appear to be getting bigger relative to your 1st post from this venue!

that's some good haulin'!
I hope that you prove those guys wrong with putting a 30+ on the bank! However I agree, the 30# class is a different echelon...
for me, it took several 29+ heartbreakers to finally break the 30 mark :S

I waited a day for the river to "clear up". The water was still muddy but not as bad as I thought it would be. Fished the baited area for 7 hours today and caught a catfish. There was snot weed out there and some other type of weed. Basically conditions were terrible. I fished yesterday at a lake and caught a 13lber so I didnt totally fail.
Im not giving up on prebaiting heavy with boilies. I plan on buying 12lbs of boilies and prebaiting two spots and fishing one on a saturday and the other on sunday. To be continued....
Venue selection for a baiting campaign is as important as the bait itself. I'm reluctant to bait a river with boilies since they often hold a large population of small/average fish...as well as catfish...you'd go broke sustaining an effective campaign. Tell us about the lake that you fished (i.e. is it overrun with dinks & cats? What's the top-end fish that you'd expect? etc.).
