Great fish...cattie included I've been doing much better once Mr. Sun starts calling it quits.

excellent write-up for a great fish!

Is there a story to go with this incredible catch??!!!

good deal!
(hmmm...i was sorting through my daughter's halloween basket and a thought crossed my mind...a mini-Snickers would fit nicely on a hair!)

some big ole momba jombas right there! must've been chilly at 9:30
(closest i got to fishing today was a 25lb sack of cracked corn from the feed store )

My assumption is that, because carp are resistance/tackle weary the less resistance when they pull the better. I lay my rods with the rod tip as close to the water as possible for that reason,
Resistance-weary however contant/steady resistance is the key in many situations; I like to make sure the fish is at least 'softly' hooked when still in the holder...I drive that hook home when it starts to run.

agree, somewhere between 7 & 10lbs...tough to say...looks like a pretty big dude holding it.
the question for you is: How much did he say it weighed ?

One of my swims has a bait stealing duck!!
After eating a bag of bait, all you need to do is sneak him some Ex-Lax and you've got yourself a Feathered Bait Boat!
