  1. I think its a great thing and I also signed the petition. I feel the bad eggs don't exactly follow fishing regulations anyways, you'll have that if its 1 rod of 5. I commonly see guys fishing public access spots on the GMR using 4-5 rods each.

Great to see you here Janderson, we have lots things going on here in Ohio and would enjoy fishing with you. Here's a schedule of our events for the year, next one is at East Harbor State Park, 17-19 Apr. We also had a great social last weekend. Good fishing to you.

  2. All the suggestions are being taken in account And all like you just suggested sounds great But lets concentrate on getting this newsletter out to the membership. At the moment John (Skeet) is looking at a few printers who can do all we need That is the biggest stumble block at the moment. But keep the momentum going to express the need for this newsletter. I was looking at the old archives CD I received from Willem. In the early days of CAG we got a news letter every 2 months like Jan and Feb and March and April etc. We had over 1000 members How did they do it We have only a bit over 500 members now The cost and finding the right printer was accomplished years ago when our budget was nothing near what we have at the moment.

So lets all keep after the powers that be, and let them see this is something CAG needs for a "kick in the Butt" to get our members back on track that there still part of CAG especially those who haven't the time as they once did being involved and fishing yet remain loyal CAG members. A quarterly newsletter will keep all abreast of the great things CAG has to offer and the daily goings on.

    +1

  3. Bob, some of the wording of that Lake Erie carp fishing page appears lifted (in part at least) from the 'carp fishing" Wikipedia entry http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carp_fishing that is managed by Duane Chapman of USGS, one of the national experts on carp and developing carp management. I made some contributions to this page years back, some of which Duane saved and morphed into it's most updated version, along with dialogs from the American Fisheries Society - Introduced Fish Section forums. Managers like Chapman and researchers such as Sorenson are taking special note of the the growing appeal and activity of carp fishing and sporting groups, and the role they will play in the upcoming science-based Integrated National Carp Management Plan for catch-to-keep (numbers) and catch and release trophy sporting pursuits.

So YES, they know we're here.

    .

Thanks for what you and them have done...I"m just glad to see all the changes in attitude going on here in Ohio...amongst anglers, charters, and the ODNR. Long ways from where we were not too long ago
