Hank,
What a great idea!
I just wanted to tell everyone good luck, and be safe!
But, if I had to predict??
Alex V wins the event with 105lbs for big 4, and Big Bird winning the Carp King belt buckle with a 31lb 10oz common.
Wha! You're not attending? Who's suppose to share my bed chair?

Just a thought.
I'm assuming the meeting room we're having the CAG Annual Meeting has electric plugs. If so I can very easily web cast the meeting online so everyone can watch it. My laptop has a built in camera and there are several sites I already use for web casting.
All people have to do is go to that site and they can see it without needed to do anything. This may be great since not everyone will be there.

There is some rain coming through DC starting Friday morning and ending Saturday morning. So, if you're fishing the basin bring a sweater and stuff The hot dog stand does sell coffee though!

Hank dont worry my intent is to get everyone registered on the keepsack before the event starts saturday morning to eliminate the usual frenzied paperwork if you have the names of folks who are coming but do not use the internet send them to me via pm first last and home state and i will get them up on thekeepsack .
having a better idea of the numbers of folks attending helps in the planning .im sure you understand.
rod dont sweat the small stuff ,they are the small stuff
No worries. Just don't want to leave anyone out as I know a few people from PA/NJ who are driving down Saturday morning and not everyone comes online
-
I was able to get someone to work for me for half a day. I'll be heading out of work at 5-6pm, so I'll probably just make the meeting.
-
There's a problem with this.
1. Not everyone reads these boards enough to know they MUST register because this information was not part of the original CCC post.
2. Not everyone uses the Internet.
3. I know several people who don't read these boards often and are driving down Saturday AM.
If this is something that is set in stone then it needs to be clarified with everyone in advance.
Just my thoughts.

Bump for those who haven't seen this yet. I know a few folks asked me today about Haine's Point while I was fishing in NJ.
Please tell others who are coming to watch this video, it really helps to know what you're getting into See everyone Friday night.

P.S the number you use will be the number order of the peg draw so get yourself signed up .
WHA? Awe come on...I was technically #3 but I selected #7 just because I liked it Dats mean!!!

and the girls won
just make sure you feed the beast before we go fishing or wife might get upset if it starts puking corn and boilies on a return home
I took my dog fishing this morning and she started eating the maize that dropped out of my sling, I was trying to get her to stop but...well...she's eaten worse I'm sure.

Neither.
I would hold it hostage and interrogate it for information on the whereabouts of its parents and older siblings.

When you get to that hotel be sure to know the fire exits.
About three blocks down from that hotel last night....three alarm hotel fire.

So, book your room near the exits

I am dissatisfied with the lack of Red Sox apparel in that photo.

Paul's driving???
I'd like to suggest (and hope) other carp tackle businesses drive and bring things to the CCC. It'd be a great way to get stuff you need without shipment. Plus, who doesn't love instant gratification In fact, it would be nice to have a list of businesses who may be driving up with stuff.

I went out with PK for a few hours DURING Hannah. It was only rain for the first three hours, we left when Hannah decided to start blowing us kisses. I didn't take too many photos, the last time I took photos when raining my camera broke.

This came by the news feed on Carp Times, it's an article by Field and Stream on carp fishing next to the Democratic National Convention. Interesting photos in the article and nice to see carp getting some spotlight.

Nice work Hank, will there be a sequel as to how to get there ... the roads can be a tad confusing for the first timers...
Roads aren't that confusing Just follow the GIGANTIC BROWN SIGNS that point to "Haine's Point Park"
Here's a Google map of the entire park.

Thanks guys...here is another picture. I was amazed at how deep and broad this fish was. I couldn't get many pictures though as I was by myself.
I know the feeling about fishing alone, the majority of my fishing is solo. It really sucks when you need to take a photo.

A 30 on a fly is better than a 50 on a spin. IMO.
Excellent job!
-
Where are your priorities? You mean to tell me CAG doesn't come before work, sleep, and eating? What's wrong with this picture!
-
Great walk through, question is where did the fish go?? The video had a "carp pause" moment---where's the fish?? Or is the double secret bait that can't be shown?
Thanks for the great introduction to Haine's point
Baustins dad
I'm not coordinated enough to hold a rod and a camera at the same time Three carp were hooked and landed that morning, all mid teens.

I created a quick video review of Haine's Point on Monday while fishing. It was a spur of the moment thing so the commentary's a little corny and the video isn't the best. But, for those who have never fished there it'll give you a few tips and ideas of the park and area.

And, if you want to feel soft on your feet during the fish-in the salon with the baby-carp-eating-feet is just down the road a few miles

That was the heaviest carp I've ever seen in person. I've netted my share of carp and knew it was a big when the first thought in my mind was "Oh, crap...how am I going to fit that into the net?" Today was one of the most fun days of carp fishing I've had in a long time
My largest, though a nice size, shadows in comparison to Paul's monster
PS: That carp is MUCH LARGER than it looks in the photo with Paul. Great job!
