Didn't Keith say a while back that he would give something to the first CAG member who caught a 50 lb+ carp?

Am I to assume the lack of feedback from the DC fishin is because it will be in the NACA, which should be out in a couple of months? OR, did I miss where this info is available on this forum?

As I am sure you all know, I have had some ideas for future sections and stories for our magazine. Well this post is no different. I'm sure you all know CAG has had some money issues lately, and is now on the upswing a bit. Well our next NACA issue is going to be what we call a "throwback issue", basically meaning its going to be printed in all black and white Gloss thus saving us a bunch of money AND taking us back to the days where it used to be.
Now not to confuse anyone, the next issue coming out is the Winter issue, that one has been sent to the printer. This next issue I'm speaking of is for the Spring Issue.
Now for what I'm looking for, I would like some stories from back in the day. Something about how you began carping. Or maybe a story from when you were a child fishing for carp with your dad or grandfather. Whatever you have in mind will work for me. Also what I would really like is some OLD photos. On a separate thread I am going to have a "guess the fisherman" contest. What I would want from you, is to send me a photo of you from back in the day holding or near a fish, It doesnt have to be a carp just something generally related. What I will need from you is this: Send me a photo VIA email from my link at bottom of signature, Picture with your name and forum name and your age at time of photo. I will then make a post with all the pictures and we will have the members and guests here of CAG discuss who they think the photos are. I will come up with more details for people to be able to guess who is who.
Now time to get your thinking caps on.
Why not take some old articles from earlier issues and reprint some of them?

No fish from lake in Pa.

Beautiful day , mid 40's. Fished from 10 to 3 P.M.

I just visited P & S Fishing in Pa. I brought some banksticks from Fox with me to try them with P & S Fishing alarms. I am happy to say that they fit the Fox banksticks. The alarms are interchangable with Fox and Solar banksticks(I tried them) and should fit any alarm. P & S banksticks also fit Fox alarms.

Does anyone know if Royal Baits can get the micro boilies(10mm) unflavored? I contacted them and have not gotten a reply as of this date.

I just got my Gardner alarm from Specialist Tackle. Total cost for alarm and two Fox blue betalights with shipping was 58 pounds. Even at $2.00/pound that would translate to $116.00. Thanks, Specialist Tackle.

I caught a carp and an 18" largemouth bass at the same time. I had a run, and set the hook. After a few seconds, I got snagged with the carp. I put the rod back in its holder and waited. After a few minutes, I lifted the rod and saw a fish break the surface about 15 yards out. I lifted the rod several times and saw this same fish break the surface, but I was still snagged. I put the rod back in the holder and waited. After several more minutes had gone by, I lifted my rod and managed to free the snagged carp, but I still saw that same fish surface about 15 yeards out. As I started to bring in the carp, I noticed a largemouth bass with a lure in its lip had wrapped the lure around my line. So I was reeling in two fish at the same time. In fact, the fish warden was there and netted both the bass and carp for me. I even got a brand new yozuri lure for my troubles.
