Working you and Jerome over,,,will be my pleasure !!! :D especially if you get a MIRROR ! :D

Can't bring the bench,,,,you have no idea of all the stuff I've got to cart :D

    Neil

What.....not even with my top-of-the-range Blue Cross Blue Shield cover?? :D

Where's the good old NHS when you need 'em? :D

Guess it'll just have to be the Swedish Massage then.

See you and Jackie in a couple of weeks.

    Iain

Thanks for doing such a fantastic job with the organization. :D

    Just one suggestion:

Please make sure you don't forget to put your "bench" in the carpwagon this year.....

.......my partner and I will both be in need of an adjustment on Friday evening and again on Sunday morning! :D

    Iain.

  3. In light of recent babblings, and cabing fever, I will submit THE odds on the 2006

    6) Jerome Moisand & Iain Murray------------MASS-------------- Nit Pickers

Another year, another try for these guys. I hate to say they have no shot, cause one needs only to realise Bill Warder's name is on the trophy, but this is really pushing it.

Iain, you caught Pearl. Kudos. Jerome, you've got a bigger buff than me. You're my hero.

BUT, can you guys crack the top 20, let alone first? The phrase "One-legged man in an ass kicking contest" applies well here...

    3,055:3

    Scott

You are da man so I'll take those odds from you any day, big boy! :D

However, the odds on me returning my ATC 46+ WITHOUT putting in a claim just lengthened from around evens to about 3056:3. :D

    Iain.

BTW. As I recall we made it comfortably into the top ten in 2005.....

....and Jerome will have his Magic Merkin this year! :D

  4. Hey,,,you guys that were at the last ATC.....remember the fellow from the Department of Parks & Wildlife????the fellow that verified Vaughns capture??

    Mukhtar ??????

Well he wrote a Great Article which will be in next months issue of "TEXAS PARKS AND WILD LIFE" it's all about the Growing interest in CARP ANGLING and the ATC!!!!!!

Well, He's bringing a copy of the magazine for everyone at the ATC...this will be given to you at the banquet...it normally sells for $3.95..But it's yours for NADA!!! :D

For those of you that will not be at the ATC....you can read it on line, next month if you go  HERE

Yes, we're making headway....It is a FEATURED ARTICLE called..."THE WORLD ACCORDING TO CARP" starts on page 42......Good Stuff!!!!!! :D

    Great!

Does that mean he'll be around to witness the new record too?!! :D

    Iain.

  5. Never mind the size, how can i fish die of stress????? No an acceptable excuse as far as i am concerened. If this had happend in the UK the guy would be buried with it !!!

.......or it would have moved house! :D

.......or the French would have asked for it back! :D

.......or the lake owner would explain how it was merely the smallest of ten fish originally stocked by Don Leney in 1938! :D

    Iain.

  6. SAving Peg placement for the event ... :D

Got to have a few surprises :D

There will be a large poster board at the maize boil which will be marked with RED DOTS at the peg sites :D ....and each peg packet will have a map outlinig the teams peg on the lake, and directions on how to get to that peg....packets will also contain a score card, and a pencil, and on FRIDAY a special little goodie ( Compliments of MARK M) and the packets on Saturday will have directions to the banquet hall and a Banquet program :D

    Neil

Do you still have the lake contour map available in electronic form? If so, could you post it (or a link to it) for the benefit of those of us who are obsessed with hidden depths?

    Thanks. :D

    Iain.

  7. All nice words very much appreciated, guys.

I just noticed that I forgot to thank:

    1. Master Pezalla, because the bait I used was maize soaked in his unique "Obsession for Carp"...

    2. Lady Luck. Who in truth did most of the work.  :D

    .......and me......for providing the bleach! :D :D

    Iain.

  8. The Corn Boil will go smoothly for sure.  It's when the event starts that the bullstuff stops and the real Carp anglers rise to the occasion.  Poetry in motion.  The ultimate arousal.  It's just what a paylaker does.  SMOOTH and EFFECTIVE.  Not a single motion waisted. :D

    GUS

    Tom.

    Neil,

Don't we have a spam blocker for this sort of thing? All this talk of "arousal" and "motions" on a family forum! :D

    Tom,

    I'll bring my camera! :D

    Iain.

    A MODEST PROPOSAL :D

Dear Jim, Pavel, Andy, Dennis, Scott, Michelle & Keith.

When I break Vaughn's record at the ATC how much of the $250k are you prepared to pony up for it to go back WITHOUT making a claim?? :D

    Maybe a sliding scale would be appropriate based on the likelihood of my record being re-broken? How about 42+ = $25K, 45+ = $50K, 48+ = $100k?

Best of luck to all TCC participants!

    Iain.

  10. Well, I have officially put in for my time off work.  I put in to take off Thursday the 23rd till Wednesday the 29th.  So hopefully I will be able to fish Emma Long a bit on Thursday then fish the ATC and still have Sun, Mon, Tues, and a bit on Wed to finish fun fishing.

    Paul

You better get registered quick. Spaces are filling pretty fast. :D

Look forward to seeing you again.

    Iain.

  11. so tell me??? you've fished with him.......when the boile is pierced with a needle, do they all have to be "DEAD CENTER"???? I mean if you're off 1 millionth on a mm,does he make you take the needle out and do it again????? :D

    Neil

Don't know. I'm not allowed to carry sharp objects in the presence of the VP. :D

    Iain.
