It will be all bright orange by next year... Harry the long time resident in my pond (from the channel), now sadly deceased :-( , did the same thing from real dark all over to bright read over a 3 year span. He lived for 9 years as happy as a clam...

I'm sorry to be missing this one, hope the weather holds and you all get a right good workout..

A quick 'calc' shows their average weight as over 16lbs --
Seeing as fish under 10lbs don't count average is likely to be relatively high

Thanks Istvan, that is a nice swim they are in..

It can not be called a 'dream team', I would like to fish with Pat Kerwin and Mark (the tailor) last name spelled Metzger(?)
Hey, Mark. Do you have dark colored suits in 58 XL?
A great team... Pat will show you how to catch fish, and Mark will make sure you are well fed and clothed..

Might have been temporary, for the blossoms, but didn't look that way, just means parking further south.
-
Sorry can't make it.....
Not sure if it's still the case but last time I was there, where you have parking for swim 2 had been changed to disabled only...
So the parking is now up alongside the golf course...

As outgoing CA State Chair -- I'm pretty sad I have zero venues to pass on to others -- just the fine memories.
Thanks, Brid.
It's official there are no carp in CA

Back on track folks.... This is a great idea, but you may as well send the POS to Virginia John.... Phil GB has a pretty good chance of winning it this coming weekend, because something, somehow always happens to him when a group of us gets to fish together for a weekend!
Some examples include: falling in Town Lake, falling in the St. Lawrence, falling in the Seneca River, using a dog to chase squirrels and tripping over multiple tree roots (severely ####ing yourself up in the process! - that one was particularly funny after we realized no bones were broken), bungee cord to the face.... I could go on, but won't!!
I'm hoping that nothing goes wrong putting the tent up tomorrow..
ps Don't remember falling in Town but then ancient memory failing is a sign of old age...
Looking forward to hauling some monsters this weekend.

Good stuff. Ultimate one would be loss of rod due to not flipping the baitrunner, or paying attention (Bri).
How many sly rods has he lost, you weren't there the day he had a real good take on his now sadly departed white rod..

Thanks Scott, I've already told the missus that her birthday is moving next year...

Glad you had a good trip Rachel, be sure to take a warm coat and an umbrella if you go over again between Nov and March ...
You seem to have received a lifetimes worth of winter sunshine..
Yes there are carp in that puddle...
-
Just FYI on checking the pictures , the last 3 captures, my two and Lia's have all been from different swims. Along the same stretch of the river.

My fishing forecast is provided by my better half, whenever she says it's okay is the best time.
ain't that the truth....
-
That's going to be a repeat capture by Mid May......

Steve, you should publish the scheduled menu and paired wines for the competition. I'm fairly sure you would get some takers..
Heck, the worst thing that can happen is that you get so worn out catching fish there is no time to enjoy the food, but the wine will keep for the celebration.
-
Since I'm not going to be in the direct competition you should have no problem finding anglers and runners to help bring you to to the gold. I would think your PM box would be full with hopefulls.....
Tom.
Tom, do you know Steve at all ?? JK
I would my friend just need to convince the Mrs that she really doesn't want to go to Italy... slim to none...
