Here a swim at a lake 10minutes from my house. It has yet to produce me a carp but I watch alot of action from them.

I plan on doing the atc next year. I'll actually be done rectuiting in a year and Texas might be my families next place to live lol
Im gonna stay in contact with the locals and see the condition of emma as the year goes. I'd like to come back and fish 3-4 straight days and camp so if I can do it somewhere else that has trophy fish I'm open to suggestions
-
I was speaking with a couple other members about meeting in the fall. I'm was planning either september our october and spend several days camping at emma long. Still just an idea I'm throwing around with the wife so nothing solid.

I always pinch the barb down and havn't lost a hooked fish in quite awhile except to break offs in snags. I personally dont think barbed hooks make a huge difference. Not hating just putting my personal observation out there. Hopefully switching to barbed or micro barbs will help you out

Could be more buffalo like big fish said. I missed 3 good runs then switched to a blowback with the same bait and got a 47lb buffalo on the next run. with those results I feel.the blowback can be extremely effective when normal hair rig isnt working

Are you using a fixed our semi fixed lead? if I use a running rig I normaly have the same the problem as you. Its a simple fix by pegging the lead.

I think your hat is in my robo-van...

Get into fish at two new venues i've been working on.
Already broke my pb so i might as well work for a new pb lol
Help out the younger guys get onto some good fish even if its just through advice.
Overall i just want to have a fun year on the bank!

thats what we were doing before. we wanted to see how far we could get the stuff out there lol

After some more in depth research I will be attending the pig hunt. Time to get that first 40 from the canal! See you all there
-
I prefer banksticks over a pod as well. I'm have the older solar pod for when I do use it

How we baited during our prefishing!!

if i cannot find a solid partner for the WCC qualifying event by friday then i will be fishing the pig hunt with everyone.

Very Sad Day... RIP

In addition, Tracy caught a 37-8 pb grasser in the first 20 minutes of the tournament on Friday, but it mysteriously slipped off the mat back into Ladybird Lake before we had a chance to "call it in." Tracy may have a pic of his grass carp that he will share on this thread.
Those grassers are tricky! we had a 33lb that did the same thing to us!

John, it is the base for an old bridge. There are several of them in the swim completely submerged
-
Monster swim is the spot! Especially if you want to catch ducks

Definitely burnt! Those two days at Decker killed us....
-
Thank you andy for the bait. Caught most the fish on the first day of atc with wild peach

We felt it unfishable and asked the gentleman running the atc if we could possibly change pegs. It was approved through the correct channels.
