Instead I printing the logo can I get it tattooed on my forehead?
-
Can we pull up the logo on our phones for the picture? I don't have a printer and have to print it out at work so if it's not up by 8 I can't print it until tomorrow night. I'm also asking in case a strong wind comes and the logo ends up in the river.

Not if I catch them all
Crap, I forgot you keep all your carp to make your famous homemade gefilte fish. I shouldn't have invited you up!
-
That's going to be a lot of work now that there are prizes for most fish and total weight. Are you going to post all the pics everyone sends you, or just the big ones? I can probably get around 500.

Got a 30 2 days in a row! This one ate an oat ball and took off like a freight train. It peeled about 80 yards of line out straight up the bank then shot right to the opposite shoreline. It took me about 15 minutes to land it, the thing was a horse. Just a little 30, weighed 30lbs 7oz.

Those fat females tend to stick their dorsal fin up when you put your hand right next to the anal fin. I made the same face and my backhair stood up last time I went to the doctor and he examined me.

Nice job! Now go get a haircut and loosen your drags.
-
Thanks guys!
Not bad considering I was by myself and only took 1 timed photo.Thats a beautifull fish, even got it with the dorsal up!
Santosh- loosen your drags.

I haven't been fishing for carp that much this year, mostly because I'm into ice fishing for pike and muskie and there was safe ice in CT into April. With the spring bite turning on now that we finally have some warm weather and the Big 4 tourney coming up I decided to dust off the gear and start carping. I baited up yesterday and did a little fishing, nothing big but I caught a few. Today I fished for 6 hours in the afternoon and landed 15 carp, 2 cats. I just started getting into puff fishing last year and haven't tried it much on my home water. One of my goals for this year was to get my first puff 30, now I can scratch that one off the list. I landed my 3rd biggest carp ever at 38lbs 14oz...ON THE PUFF! I caught 4 others on the puff and the rest were on oat balls, both fished with an oat pack. Hopefully the big one today will eat a pound and a half of my bait and I'll catch her again next week

I don't think a scale shot is necessary. The fish would have to be out of the water longer for the shot, it would be a pain to get the shot if you are by yourself without a tripod, and it doesn't prove anything...you could go home and put some dumbbells in your weigh sling and take the shot in your backyard and it would look just like the pic you posted.

Maybe time to break the magical 150lb mark?
I'll try my best

What an unbelievable fish. I'd love to break 60, couldn't imagine a 90!
-
Nice fish guys! I gotta get some of those boilies!

I hear the tidal stretch of the Raritan has some nice fish too There are carp in most of the lakes, ponds and rivers in NJ. Farrington and Spruce Run are worth a look

Btw, if you use liquified bread put it in ziplock bags after you make it. Get all the air out of the bags and stick it in the fridge so it stays fresh until you are ready to go. I think this is better than whole pieces of bread because you can evenly flavor it, it breaks up into a pile and spreads out more, and it's tougher for the carp to clean up because the particles are so small a lot of it goes right out their gills.
-
Put the bread in a food processor and mix the flavor into the breadcrumbs on the bank. If it doesn't pack around the lead wet your hands or add a little flavored creamed corn.
-
I'll be there. Hopefully we wont get too much rain today or the river will be a raging mix of chocolate milk and leaves tomorrow.
-
Awesome! Willing to do whatever it takes to land a carp. What do you charge to be the runner for carp tournaments
-
You could have stopped that fish with the Optix
-
Nice one! You're getting closer and closer to joining the 40 club.

Michael Phelps...ON THE PUFF!!!

Warming up for B-ville this fall??
Haven't talked to Attila about that but it's a possibility . If not this fall then definitely next spring. I'm gaining a lot more confidence in the puff...maybe after a few thousand more hours of using them on the bank I'll be a puff pro!

Some great fish Matt. No PERKINS hat?
I'm probably going with Miguel on Saturday, I'll dig up the Perkins hat for that session. Hopefully I'll get a Perkins 40.

The lighter one was only 17 but I thought it was a nice looking fish so i took a pic. Didn't get a pic of the fattest fish of the day and one of the other 20s because I had doubles. Here's a bigger one from earlier in the week.
Day 1, 34.8 ON THE PUFF!

I did pretty well on the first day of the Big 4 tourney. I fished from 6:00-2:30 and got a 34.8 ON THE PUFF! I thought she was heavier when I saw the gut but she was a short fish. I'll let Willem post pics of the other 22 fish I caught
