I live on Lake Lancer. Created from a small trout stream and about 800 acres. Plenty of bass, panfish and pike but in 20+ years here I have never seen a carp in it. Downstream in the rivers and lakes leading to the Saginaw river there are lots of carp and some monsters.

Great job guys. Looks like exactly the same spot I fished a couple of years ago. The whole Muskegon system looks like it holds good fish.

Never fished that far up Paul but there will undoubtably be big fish there if you can find them being so close to and connected to the big lake. Night wing is the closest Mi guy to that neck of the woods so you may want to send him a pm. You may be in uncharted terrritory!

[Muskegon River Camping]

Ok guys on Monday we will be leaving to camp on the Muskegon river to do some carp fishing til Thursday. I've heard this river has some nice carp in it and I would appreciate any tips from anyone who knows about or has fished this river. Also I'm not sure what park to go to newaygo state park which is closer to hardy dam or brower park which is farther away but I know that people have caught Carp from there.

I fished Brower Park once about 3 years ago with Robert but from memory we didnt do very well and only caught one fish. Seemed like a decent location apart from there being a lot of boats and obviously one visit isn't representative. I do recall that the reason we went was because it was touted by Kevin would had been there a few times and like it. If you can track him down maybe you can get more info? BTW anybody heard from Fitz recently??
