Can't match Froggys 80f but it is in the 70s and clear as a bell here in the UK so hope you guys have decent weather also for the kick off.

Nice to have another Mi guy in the fold. I live up near Gladwin and will miss the Erie fish-in but hope to run into you at the Saginaw fishin in May if you can make it.

I must admit I do feel like that sometimes because this time of year is so frustrating when you think the weather should be OK but it's really still to cold and early for any decent carp fishing in Mi.
Thank god for steelhead. I could migrate to fishing southern Mi like you guys and patiently wait out the fish out but this year I'm taking a different approach with a trip to the old country, trading snow for rain and freezing my butt off in the Shetlands. Somehow i think I'll find something to do there and when I get back I should actually be able to catch some carp in Mi,
. Good luck at Erie but looks like I will see you boys at the Saginasty! BTW I did manage to escape from my cave for a few hours the other day and get this little snack........

Has to be Saginaw based on the waters proven potential and the length of time we will be fishing it.
The real big fish will come from other parts of the state while you southern boys will stuck be fishing the Gtr Metro Dtw area anyway.

You snow birds are behind the 8ball, lol! The group voted on the events at the curry event, and it was also decided to have the Erie fish in from 12 to 7 to accomodate the drastically better fishing that occurred later in the day as the water warmed up.
Andy has the list of the fish in's which were voted on, and the event schedule which I'm sure he's gonna post soon.
BTW-hope all is well, and I hope to see you at Erie!
I guess you snooze you lose Don but since unfortunately it's unlikely I'll make it the point is moot and I'm still napping. Still at this point I guess I don't regret surf fishing in the mid 70's v the opportunity to have had a vote on Erie fishing time here in the March ice and snow!
Doing great btw thanks and really enjoyed Al this year apart form a little session in the ER brought about by a disagreement with a stingray
. By the time I get back from the UK things should be in full swing and you and I can hopefully hit the Saginaw hard. -

Not sure if I can make this fish in because of a trip to the UK early that next week? If I did make it however a 7pm finish time would not be friendly at all for non Detroit area folks like me who have any distance to travel?
I didn't see any write up of decisions or schedule of events for 2011 after the event at Andy's. I'm only just back up with full internet access so did I miss it or has it not been posted?
