Hello CAG members,
Unfortunately, Andy Sprinkle will be soon stepping down as CAG Treasurer, leaving a void in our organization. We are looking for someone to step up and take his place, with his and my guidance of course. This is an exciting and new time for CAG. With carp angling gaining popularity across North America, this IS the time to get involved. We need candidates with energy, drive, and passion to help promote CAG's goals of conserving, promoting, and sharing carp as a sportfish.
Any Interested Individual will need to please submit their letter of intent as soon as possible.
The deadline is June 1st
Please submit the platform letters to cagstaff@carpanglersgroup.com
Per our By-laws, below are the duties of the Treasurer3) Treasurer
A) Serves on the board of directors.
B ) He/she will make semi-annual reports of all financial accounts to the membership at large via the NACA as well as making the records available for review by the board of directors at any time as the board may request same. (Should a group of 10 members of the Carp Anglers Group, at any time, make a request for review of the financial accounts it is the duty of the board of directors to perform said review and report their findings to the membership.)
C) The Treasurer along with the President and Secretary will be responsible for annual tax filings, along with any other requests required by the IRSThanks! If you have any questions please feel free to contact me or Andy Sprinkle

Hey Marius! I love fishing NY/CT, thinking of coming back for a fall trip!
I would sure love a trip down south to GA and TX though!

Sweet snakeheads! Definitely a fun and memorable weekend, just watch where you step next time...it's a mine field
I still have no idea why you'd take a crap right in the center of the path...lol

After DC, it was off to NJ to fish! I would be meeting my good friends Ethan K and Matt J (Saxmatt), as well as Mike H (Hudak860) and Justin. I first met Ethan 3 years ago through CAG when he offered an invitation to me to come up to NY to fish at his lakehouse, and I met Matt last year at Baldwinsville and proceeded to spend the next week after Bville fishing together along with Ethan on the Larry and Chaumont Bay. I also first met Mike H last year, when I drove up to where he was fishing to help verify the CT State Record common he had just caught!
In addition, Chris B and Miguel A (miguel126) would join us for a day and Pawel came by for a visit and more than a few beers lol! Anyways, all together we caught close to 50 fish that weekend, and to top it off Mike got a monster grasser at 49.5lbs! Ethan also landed himself a PB striper on a chunk of eel....too bad it was already filleted I probably did not stop laughing the entire session...except for when I was sleeping or when I stepped in Matt's poop
It was a pleasure to fish with old friends, and finally get to meet Chris, Miguel, and Justin! I'm sure we will all share the bank again at some point very soon!

My buddy a few weeks ago (before becoming a CAG member) asked me why he should join CAG. I thought about it for a few seconds and then answered him: "The people". Yes, the people. I have been blessed to have met many great people through CAG and made some lifelong friendships. When I started travelling to other states to fish, I told myself that catching a fish would only be a plus. In some of these trips, I barely caught anything at all...yet these were some of my favorite trips and I would do it again the same exact way if I could. The laughs, the friendships, the camaraderie along the way is definitely what I look forward to the most when fishing.
With graduation looming, I decided I'd take a trip up the east coast to fish with some of my friends that I havent seen in over a year. First stop was our nation's capital and fishing with my good friend Pat K. The first morning he took me to his super duper secret snakehead spot and I was able to tie into and land my first ever northern snakehead! Man they are such cool fish! I ended up getting 1 more and Pat got 3. After lunch, I headed over to the tidal basin while Pat went to work with my float rod and a can of sweet corn. I ended up with 16 fish from 2PM to 6PM up to 18lbs, including my first ever koi at 10.5lbs! Pat joined me about 30 min before 6 and caught 3 snakeheads, including a hoss over 10lbs
The next day was a late start for me as Pat had to work and I caught up on sleep. I went to the basin aroudn 3 and fished until dark. Caught 15 more fish up to 16+ lbs and a little snakehead. Was hoping some of the big carp would show, but sadly they never did.
The next morning Pat and I went back to the snakehead spot and proceeded to have a banner day, landing 8 and missing a bunch more. The biggest was around 12lbs. After that, we headed upriver on the potomac to do some shad fishing. Caught a bunch of hickories, and even some herring and small stripers on hook and line. What a fun day to end my last day in DC.
Next up, new jersey!!!

That's going to be a lot of work now that there are prizes for most fish and total weight. Are you going to post all the pics everyone sends you, or just the big ones? I can probably get around 500.
Not if I catch them all
