Due to threat of rain Switching out pegs 17 &18 for two more pegs at Jackson Street is up for discussion.
As Frank said pegs 17&18 have no shelter from the rain.
Just trying to give everyone some type of shelter. Not just because of the rain but because the rain and cold temps could make for a miserable
day. And I don't want anyone to have a miserable day.
Tell me what your thinking.

Pegs that will be used are J1,J2,J3,J8,J12,J14,1,2,15,16,17,18,20,21,22 AND 23.

Larry,is parking available close to the pegs? I need to pack light this trip so don't want to haul the cart unless necessary.
I will cover your parking fee also Aniq, that's the least I can do since you are driving so far.
-
I have chosen the 16 best fish producing pegs from past events.
So please be on time for peg/egg draw. Not to be harsh but if you are late you will have one of the lesser of the 16 best pegs.
Any Questions?
-
Parking very close, the farthest would be about 100' on concrete. And the closest would be appox 12", yes inches.
You wont need a cart.
Drive safe, peg draw promptly @ 6am.
See you Saturday.
-
Ok Anglers what do we do now? I just stopped down by the river and it's 2 to 3 feet higher than normal and raging like I have never seen it.
Just kidding, it's just about normal, lookin good. Just hope the temp would be a little higher but you know Mother Nature.

Will we be fishing the east side or west side of the river?
Both sides of the river are pegged. Peg draw will determine your placement.
Peg draw will be on the west side of the river @ peg 6.
Drive safe. And please bring proper wet weather gear for the afternoon.
REMEMBER Joliet is full of one-way streets. And Joliet drivers are unforgiving.

Totally agree, Larry. No "easy money" on that list. It's nice to know that all of us will go home with something thanks to your efforts and the generosity of your sponsors.
It looks like it will all come down to peg draw. Good luck to all!
Here's the most recent April 30 hourly forecast for Joliet from Accuweather:
Look on the bright side of things, It will be above freezing and not snowing,LOL.

With a little over two days to go before the Five Bridges tournament, Accuweather just changed the forecast to over a half inch of rain for Saturday, However, it isn't supposed to get heavy until 2:00 p.m. Be prepared.
Perhaps consideration could be given to using the shelter on the north side of Jefferson as an alternative site for awards in case it's raining heavily. Good luck! --Frank
See, that's why Frank is "THE MAN". He's always thinking.
Yes, awards will be @ the pavilion just across Jefferson St from Where peg draw will be.
-
Good thinking Frank, I believe we will do that.
After fishing ends @4pm, everyone meet just north of Jefferson St on the west side of the river in the pavilion.

I am assuming we will be meeting in the parking lot where we normally meet. If anything changes, please call me. I will send you my number Larry. Thanks. Paul Scott
Yes Paul, just south of Jefferson st, but come Hell or High water, the show will go on!
Glad you can make it. See you Saturday.

Just 72 hours until the "Five Bridges" Tournament begins! Accuweather says the "touch of rain" will hold off until late afternoon (4 or 5 pm) on Saturday. 7:00 a.m. will see 47° with a high of 60° by 1:00 p.m. Looks good!
I'm not sure what the other prizes are, but don't forget that my $20 goes to the angler capturing the big mirror or fish closest to 10 pounds (without going under that poundage) if no mirror is recorded.
Good luck to all! Thanks to Larry Seeman for setting all this up. Looking forward to it. --Frank
Thanks Meterologist Frank, LOL.
Like I said everyone will go home with a bucket full of door prizes, and at least one prize for their placing in the event. And as long as the fish are hungy I guess this will be the best year for this event yet.
Some rain for this week but not enough to effect the flow of the river.
Donuts, hard boiled eggs, slim jims and beverages for breakfast.
6AM sharp peg draw.
If you have any questions, only 72 hrs to ask them.
See everyone early Saturday.

There are plenty, Harras casino has a hotel which is 10ft from the venue.
Personally I wouldn't stay at Harrahs, they had so much red tape to get a donation from. And Hollywood casino had no red tape. LOL

Well Tony It took you long enough for you to speak up. Was hoping you didn't forget about our conversation we had about 3 weeks ago. I was pretty lucky finding this guy.
You are now on the list, and I will personally pay $10 of your entry fee. And for you being a newbie, a newbie to Joliet maybe but remember you already told me about your carp fishing sessions. Watch out everyone he's trying to play us, LOL.
