Dave, even if they gave us permission I think the angler who ended up with for south peg would have a huge advantage. I'm trying to keep the field somewhat equal.

I really hate to do this but do to the history of fish producing pegs I am hard capping the entry list to 16 anglers. So that would leave 3 open spots left as of now.
And due to the number of donations, EVERYONE will win something.

Confirmed today that pegs 7 and 8 are out of play for the 30th. Now the real question is, should I peg 9 and 10. As we know from last Fall the noise from the sandblasting equip. is outrageously load (right Corey?) In the picture below notice the barge position.

For the Anglers new to Joliet here are a couple of picture to show the bottom shape of the river in Joliet, as you can see there is really no structure except for the bridge pillars. Straight walls and flat bottom.

Hollywood casino of Joliet has donated a $40 gift certificate for dinner as a prize for the 5 Bridges tournament on April 30th.

Yes peg draw will be as Frank said parking lot at Bluff st and Jefferson st,.
There are road closed signs but you can drive around them, get to the bottom of the hill and turn right on Bluff St.

I'm choosing the best pegs for this event (in my opinion).
So once again please let me know if you have to cancel. Not to be harsh but peg/egg draw is promptly @ 6am.
And the organizer will of course will take the last peg left.

Just a reminder all the permits and permission are all in place for this event, just incase you were wondering.

2 rods
Strike and fight your own fish
Netting can be done by anyone
Only your top 5 fish count ( Big 5 event)
Fish must be hooked within 1" of mouth
Proper fish care and release is a must
All species event
peg draw 6am
fishing from 7am-4pm
ect, any question please ask

Exactly 3 weeks to go, still hoping for a few more Anglers.

Depending on water level and flow of the water, bring a 3rd rod possibly for part of the TWIST!

Looked at the river today and the work barges are on the west side of the river opposite of last year. So which pegs to use will be decided on April 30th,

I think that's a pretty sizable list of local supporters.
If this was your event what would you change if anything? I'm just trying to get ideas for the future.
Another thing, 5 Bridges will be held Hell or high water there will be no cancelation. Due to our supporters donating prizes ect. The upcoming summer, most weekends are full of other events, Holidays, family functions ect. Changing the date would be almost impossible to all our anglers back to Joliet.
ALL prizes will be won on the 30th, even if for some reason we have 3 anglers, all the prizes will still be won.
Ok that's it for now, send or post me some ideas.
