Here we go again. April 30th is the date for the 4th Annual 5 Bridges all species fishing tournament.
Fishing from 7am-4pm. ( pull rods from 11:30am - 12pm for lunch)
Pre and post meetings at Bicentennial Park south.
Peg draw 6am sharp, fishing starts at 7am. Please arrive early for meet and greet ect.
This event will be a big 5 format, (only your 5 biggest fish count)
Entry fee $50. Which 100% will be returned in prizes.
You will be able to use 2 rods for this event. Single hooks, 1 per line, NO TREBLE HOOKS.
Safe fish care is a must.
All fish must be released alive to count in your BIG 5.
Thanks to Dr. Frank Rink we have Liability Insurance and approval from the great city of Joliet and the Illinois Dept Of Natural Res. to have this event.
Optional Big fish pot is $10 per angler, 100% of big fish pot will be awarded to the angler with the heaviest single fish during event times.
Free lunch will be provided at Larry's peg. (to be announced). Beverages and snacks will be available free of charge throughout the day.
1st place will be awarded 50% of total entry fees. And a 2016, 1 oz. silver eagle coin.
2nd place will be awarded 30% of total entry fees.
3rd Place will be awarded 20% of total entry fees.
Donated prizes will be awarded for First fish of the day, Last fish of the day, and fish caught closest to the weight of 4 lbs- 3 oz. You are only eligible for one of these prizes.
ALL fish being added to your Big 5 must be weighed and witnessed by another entered angler.
Anyone can net your fish, but you must strike and fight your fish for it to count.
Asking once again this year, If you sign up for this event, and something comes up that you cant attend, me let me know. I need an exact # for lunch orders.
Prizes will be awarded @ 4: 30pm in Bicentennial park south, so please wrap your equipment quickly when fishing ends at 4pm.
Pegs, depending on the number of anglers will determine which pegs are used. ( going to choose the best pegs in my opinion and past events)
The organizer has the final word in all decisions pertaining to this event, ties in scoring, eligibility, ect.
I more than likely forgot a lot of items on this list, so go ahead and ask questions. "No one told me" is not an excuse.

WOW! That's a shocker, RIP Dennis.
-
Only 6 days to go. And as long 8 anglers or more show up for this event I will be donating a surprise bucket, good luck!
-
My opinion is opening up all the pegs, reason being fish numbers have been down for quite a while now. And hate to scare off any newbies or even regular Joliet anglers. Just my opinion. I am In either way.
Thanks again for having all these events Frank.

Larry Seeman is in for sure.
-
Your in, your appox # 6. Thanks again.

April 30th, 2016 is the date set for the 4th annual 5 Bridges Tournament.
Sent out a few letters for donations on Friday so we will see,
.Depending on if we get donations close to what we received last year will determine the entry fee. Hoping to catch the interests of some local anglers.
That's all I have for now, keep checking back.

Cool more Anglers the better.
