Frank can you please take me off the entry list for this years CCC.
-
sounds good to me, we must have listened to different forecasts, I heard about a couple of showers off/on during the day.
-
Just a reminder, BE ON TIME!

With the forecast for rain and possible afternoon storms on Saturday, I'm wondering if we shouldn't replace 17 with another prime peg. 17 is the only peg that has some substantial distance between you and your vehicle. Nine (9) has a little distance, but you could get to your car if rain started. Although not really close to car parking, 21 and 22 have the township building awning. Any thoughts? 2, 15, 7, and 20 are close to a shelter or vehicle parking and can be productive now and then. I'm also thinking that, due to easier access to vehicles, only 3, 4, 5, and 6 should be the open middle pegs. 12 and 13 are behind the Bicentennial building and could be difficult pegs if it rained/stormed.
Pegs 12 & 13 parking maybe a bit of a problem with the Family Festiva that is on Saturday also in the park.

I agree with not using peg 17 if the forecast calls for rain for more than 1/2 the day. But whatever it takes. If it takes me taking a middle peg I will do so.

Bring the rain gear on Saturday. The latest forecast calls for two hours and nearly a quarter inch of rain. Times of steady rain are 9:00 a.m. and noon. Thunder isn't expected until around 3:300 p.m., so hopefully, we'll get this in before any lightning starts. Post here if you can't make it, so next man up can get into the "prime" peg group. Good luck.
The only good thing about the rain is the construction workers wont be working on the bridges.

Im still in, it's only rain. And the carpmobile is already packed.
All I need is a #25 peg at peg draw then I got this!

It never happened, Mike and I went to the northside of the city to buy a pickup truck instead.

Looks like it's going to be another great event in Joliet as always.
-
I have a carp rod I won in a past tournament I will be giving away to the person who catches the last fish of the day on Saturday. Only if the organizer approves. I will post brand name, length, and test curve of rod on tuesday.
And remember hard boiled eggs ( from my egg plants) , twinkies, slim jims, and beverages will be available while supplies last.

Sounds like your skeerd!
-
Thanks anyway Frank!

There will be a few of us fishing Joliet this Saturday, all are welcome. We will bring the grill and food. Let me know if your coming!
-
You will be missed!

Yes Frank, The barges are still there. But as of yesterday ( Saturday) they are working on Saturdays. We wont know until the 29th if they are working on that day.
-
Looks to be a great turnout Frank, you Da Man!
-
LOL
-
Is it nessesary to get on the leader board? My computer wont let me.
-
-
It was just a thought, I'm not trying to change your plans.
-
If the barges are still there, I suggest using peg 2 and dropping peg 23
-
Frank just so you know, the last time I took a look at pegs 23 and 24 there were barges parked there for the bridge repair. I don't know how long they will be there.
-
One of these days we can all get together at a venue where the pegs are closer together so I can bring the food and the grill and we can have a 10hr BS session.
