IF I were to guess who won. My guess wouild be Cory or Cory JR.

-
Great detail, wish I could make this one.
-
What great pictures Frank.
-
Hunting and fishing at the same time, what a great day.
-
Frank as you asked, I will have to cancel for the 3rd. The rain this last Saturday put us behind a day at work so we have to make it up on the 3rd, it happens.
-
If this happens on the 3rd, count me in!

In the past, Larry, I would have moved the event to Joliet in a minute, especially since August 27 is one of the 20 dates listed on my liability insurance policy and on the list of approved dates granted by the City of Joliet.
However and as you know, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources now requires tournament approval for events such as this, and application for that approval should be submitted at least thirty days prior to an event, with few exceptions. I don't want to jeopardize my standing with IDNR as a tournament host by holding an unapproved event. --Frank
The river will probably be chocolate milk anyway.
I know exactly what your saying about the approval,

AUGUST 27 TOURNAMENT AT KEWANEE CANCELED!
Due to a forecast that calls for thunderstorms, lightning, high winds, and 3+ hours of rain, I am canceling the August 27, 2016 "Dog Days of Summer" Carp Tournament at Kewanee's Sauk Trail State Park.
I apologize for the short notice, but the forecast was just "upgraded" this morning. If the tournament were in Joliet with quick access to cars, we would probably move forward with the event. However, at Kewanee, you are either out in the open at the dam and the SW parking lot or under some big trees at the picnic areas.
If the storms do not materialize at Kewanee, I prefer to err on the side of caution.
The next event will be the "Welcome to Fall" Tournament on Saturday, September 24 at the Johnson - Sauk Trail Lake in Kewanee. I will change the tournament parameters for that event to reflect the open peg/open location concept of the intended August 27 event, so maximum number of anglers has been increased from 14 to 20.
Sorry for any inconvenience that this cancellation may have caused. --Frank Rink
Move it to joliet

Better sign me up for this one before something happens. Thanks again Frank.

For now I apologize for my last topic I started on this thread yesterday. Once again very sorry------ Larry.
-
That only happens once in a lifetime!
-
Due to overtime at work I have to bow out of this event. Massive overtime through Aug, 65 hr weeks. It sucks but the money is good! LOL
Sorry
-
Hopefully who ever updates the State Chair list for Illinois better use an eraser!
-
Frank I never really asked, do you have to be a CAG member for this or any of your events.
-
Jerome, your going to have to settle for 2nd place, LOL!
-
Frank, thanks for the updates.
-
Just a thought, have one weigh steward/ official per section. Which they can also fish in the CCC.
If needed I will help being a weigh steward and will not fish if need be. ---Larry

With a little over a week to go until the CAG Carp Classic in Kewaunee, I'm asking if Lee, Jerome, AF Bob, Willem or someone in the know would please post a current list of those who will be attending CCC 2016? I noticed provisions have been made for a tackle flea market, and I'm considering hauling stuff north if it stands any chance of changing hands. Thanks, so much. --Frank
Frank I have extra room in my car to carry your goods, you don't happen to be selling a pod are you?

Just sayin' that anyone could do a better job of drawing a peg than I could. Forecast calls for a heat index of 108° and a thunderstorm to boot in Kewanee, IL today (glad we postponed the Sauk Trail tournament). Hoping the weather is much better in Kewaunee, WI in a couple weeks (forecast says 75° and partly sunny). Best of luck to all who will attend!
I don't know which is better, fishing today with a feels like temp of 108F or working in a not so well ventilated warehouse in 108F feels like temps. Well at least the warehouse is in the shade, LOL.
