  1. Sunday morning met Bill back at Lockport fishing "The Hole" swim and we both had 2 by noon. No action for about 3 hrs. then Bill pulls out this secret dip and tells me to take that maize off and put on just one piece of plastic corn. 3 fish in 1/2 hr. Wow!!! Of course I have to have that flavor dip but I'll get back to that...

  3. Left out from Cincinnati last friday afternoon, headed for Downtown Joliet, Il. to meet up with Cory Bohmen. Arrived Harra's side one bridge down from this years CCC venue around dark(4:15pm ...Damn that central time zone) Rain and cold to 35 degrees that night. Cory hooked up first (low teen) forgot to take a pic. :D soon Bill Hodge showed and we all piled into my Oval plus for some great story telling and I got to say I learned so much just spending time on the bank with these two. I got the next one in the rain/sleet..... Bill left us around midnight and Cory and I settled in for the night. We caught a few more each before packing up at 5am headed for Lockport to meet Bill.

wrong.... John and Justin got 5 or 6 more before I finnally got one in (did miss a couple overnight.)

Which by the way the Park Ranger came by and loved it that we were there he could of cared less about the sign. He stayed about 2 hrs talking and we gave him and old NACA and talked about maybe doing some kind of Youth event next year. He did inform us that around 5:30am the Duck Hunters would be coming in for Opening Day. They did and got a few but the Ducks were out smarting them mostly... :D

  5. John,Justin and I headed out friday around 5pm after our what seemed like forever 1 hr drive. We found our spot at the left end of the Marina, ignoring the "no fishing sign" got set-up and started baiting. This is new water for us and we were in blind. Nothing till Midnight Justins new Rod/Reel he won in the Raffle at Alum last week goes off fast. Speaking of fast Justin was fast asleep and so Dad had to take care of this one. Kinda fooled us a little cause when he hit the net is when we new he was a perty good fish. Remember new water, first bite....... :D
