contractors cap with 4 cabinets (2 on each side) makes a big diference as well. Still got to much in the garage that I dont carry with me every outing.
I hated loading and unloading my van when I got home from a trip.

Money does not guide any of my decisions, Rodman. I have run the CCC for more years than I can count and I am tired. I would love to have it stay in Chicago, would probably continue to host the maize boil and would certainly support it in many other ways.
good for you Paul. Nice to be in a position that Money is no object...congrats

If i were you I would sell all of my carp gear for pennies on the dollar and take up Bread making as your new hobby.

Like Dan said, " Indy is a great choice" Plenty of space and plenty of fish.
I love Jim and Westside bait and Tackle and had a blast when CAG (what they called) CCC was held there. I also fished the CCC in Joliet and Harbors and Paylake.
White River no chance at big fish
Joliet little chance at big fish
Harbors give you a chance at big fish
Paylake keeps to many away
but...big fish is only for me a small part of what the CCC should be about. It belongs in the Chicago area IMO. Cant believe Paul would let it slip away form him again. Maybe no one spent any money at the corn boil but I know I always spent more than I planned at his shop. There is so many of you guys up there to split the work up. I hope you all get together and figure it out so CCC stays were it belongs.
Even though I havnt been the last 2 years I would like to make it up there again.

there will be plenty of guys here to share local knowledge Im sure but I would look at emma Long if I was going to camp and wanted to catch a big Buf. Stop by Big Carp tackle( Bartlesville,Ok) on your way to tx and get all you need. Doubt any local shops have carp stuff. good luck

Given that the change was not part of the changes listed to take place I would suggest that it is time for diliberating by the BOD to once again be open to the public once again. If we look at the history of CAG, the financial mistakes and membership drops came at the time the discussions where moved away from the public view......I am not suggesting that the regular members can input the BOD discusssions, but I feel we should be able to see who are making bad choices for the club. There have been a fair number of BOD to call me crazy, and more that willing to attack my input yet we have no way as a membership of knowing who is making these bad choices,,,,,we deserve to know, it's our money, our club and our efforts and posts that keep this whole thing viable. Since we will see a new president, I think it's time for a new way of doing things here.
I will post this to the cantidates as well.
I disagree, All members of the BOD are giving their time to this club. Buckeye Bob told me once that you have to trust that the BOD members have CAG's best interest at heart or they would not give up time with their families or fishing to run the club. may not always agree with decisions made but calling them "Bad decisions" is a matter of opinion. We pay $25 bucks to be a member, thats nothing, we dont own anything here because we pay dues. If all discussions of the bOD were out in the open nothing would get done. Their PM box would be full from everyone telling them what to do. or threatening to leave the club if its not done this way or that way. I do not care if Friends of CAG is open or private.
When I was on the bOD I tried to get us to have a monthly Webex meeting where we could talk thru live an agenda of issues. It never came together. Also I was on a BOD of a large service org. for 13 yrs and we had monthly meetings face to face where members could attend but not really have input until floor was opened to them. Almost never had any regular members attend.
Lets trust our BOD to do whats right in their eyes for CAG and if at the end of the day you dont like what they do then step up and run for the BOD. Im sure they always need help.
