    Come join us on the banks of White Rock Lake october 2nd to learn, socialize and catch some fish. You do not have to be a member of CAG to participate, it is open to everyone. This is not a tournament, but a social event to promote catch and release carp fishing. However I am sure there will be a side pot(s) if you desire to live dangerously :rolleyes: Come hang out and bring the kids if you want to.The weather should be cool by then and perfect for a day session.

    Well after a lil bargaining I finally got my wife to agree to go camping and fishing with me this past weekend.I decided on lake tawakoni out by my dads house because he was gonna watch the kids for us.When we get to the site on saturday i knew it was gonna be a rough weekend because the wind was blowing hard in our face. A friend let me use an extra set of gear and i got Them both set up and out.We waited for an hour or so and caught a GD catfish!!! We kept baiting and kept catching more MFing catfish.We didnt get our first carp till sunday morning and it was a Lake Record!! A whole 10.10 lbs hahaha.After that we caught another 6 million catfish and about the time We were getting ready to start packing up My wife got a run and it was a nice buffalo.She fought it hard like a champ.Did I forget to say that this was my wifes first time EVER fishing .She was using that longcast reel like she knew what she was doing :) .When she got it close I went to net it and she pulled and snapped the link.The fish was stuck in the sand so i threw the net over him but he got underneath it. :( y .She was whizzed off that I cost her her first buff and one that was easy 25 lbs.After that we picked up camp and headed home.She seen how crappy my alarms were and how nice my buddys gear was that she said I can have 200 bucks this week for some new alarms B) .Now shes ready to go fishing again and I think I am more in love with her!!!! And Im on the road to some new gear too!!!!!!!
