Where there is a will.....There is a way! NICE!

Sweet fish indeed! I really like that orange mirror!

I was stationed at Ft Campbell from 58 to 61 & the Tennessee river is as good as it gets.

I decided to go back to a spot on the river yesterday that I had a 13 hr blank a few days before. This area has some deeper water & I was hoping with the cold nights we are having that the carps would be in there.
The day was cool & partly cloudy all day. It was a good day to be out.
I had 10 hookups but only banked 7 fish. I lost 3 to snags. Also caught 4 catfish.
Weights of the fish were: 17.2 18.5 19.0 17.0 13.6 13.4 & 28.7 The 28 pounder was the last fish of the day & it wasn't easy trying to keep it out of the snags.

Insanity is a good description of what goes on any more on weekends & holidays on the lakes & rivers any more. We don't have that bad of a problem here......YET!....but I try to refrain from fishing on the weekends & holidays. Fortunately I am retired & can pick & choose the days that I fish.
Great looking mirror & at least that was a good reward for your efforts.

That fish just loves to be caught!

Great looking fish! Hope the Koi is in your near future!

Utterly amazing fish!!! Looks like your scouting paid off big time!

Two very good fish there. The river bite seems to be tough here right now. Don't know what the cause is but suspect the carp have changed their feeding grounds.

After getting a 13 hr blank on the river a few days ago, I decided to fish a lake yesterday. It was a nice cool morning, 51 degrees, & with the warm water there was some fog on the lake.
My first fish came around 8.30 AM & the rest of the fish came in the afternoon hrs. I banked 5 carp & one crappie. Never got a crappie on the Enterprise corn before so that was a first.
Weights of the fish were: 12.0 14.5 11.15 13.2 & 13.0
All fish were teeners so I was happy with that.

I try to stay off the lakes & rivers on weekends. Good video & I like to see the rods rise on the pay lake rod holders.

Very nice pics! I love seeing your area & the history of it you provide.
Great job on getting the kids out to enjoy what nature has to offer. Most kids today never get that opportunity.

Some nice gold indeed! Great session.

Good fish! One is better than none anytime!

The river seems to be a little tough right now. Glad to see you got two very nice fishes for all your work.

Great adventure & pics!
Did the shopping cart come on the puff & grits! Also, was Max interested in licking the cart??? -
Nice going getting out for the short sessions. I thought that spot would produce a lot better than that.
Great looking fish that you captured. That last one is a hog!

Fished a lake yesterday that I haven't fished since last spring. The river got messed up a bit from the heavy rains recently so I decided on the lake to fish. It was foggy when I got there & then got a lot thicker & finally started to clear around 9.
I had moderate action all day but the fish were small. I probably ended up with about a dozen fish & most were released right at the shore line without even taking them out of the water.
I was hoping for a mirror or some bigger fish but that never happened. The weather was good with a light breeze & I was able to stay in the shade all day.
I very seldom fish here without seeing some deer during the day. Check out the ears on the first one. She almost looks like a muley!
