Looks like a very nice venue. The shore line looks like it was made for carpin. I think Max likes the area too!

Max probably went in there because it is always cooler underground. Glad he came out OK.
Gotta give you guys credit for getting out in 97 % temps, catching some nice fishes & sharing the story & pics.

My last two sessions on the river here weren't productive so I hit a local lake yesterday for a change.
There was a 3/4 moon over head.
The day was cool with a breeze & it made for some comfortable fishing. The fish were in a co operative mood too. I ended up banking 9 fish. Most of the fish there are not very big but make up for it by making good runs & a lasting fight. My biggest fish was only 14.2 but put on a good fight.
The lake is a public park with trails around it & in the afternoon I saw an elderly couple coming down the trail pushing a stroller & I thought they were taking their grand child out for some air. When they got close to me I was surprised to see two dogs in the stroller! Now not even OC's Max gets that kind of pampering!

The river bite has been bad lately & one is better than none & a 23 pounder isn't hard to take.
I'm going to change up & hit the pipes today.

I fished the river here yesterday from 6 AM 'til 6 PM & only got one run & landed a 13 lb 4 oz.
So I was able to avoid the skunk. I fished the same area last Thursday for 14 hrs & didn't even get a tickle on the rods.
The bucks are still in bachelor groups & I saw this group about a quarter mile down river.
We are supposed to get upwards of 2 to 3 inches of rain here today & tonight so the river will probably go up & get muddy for a while so I guess it's back to the lakes for me.

Thanks for all the positive comments guys. Catching fish is nice but also having a very nice place to fish makes getting out a lot more pleasurable.
