WOW! Great to see you back posting here! Your posts are always interesting with a great story & some great pics. I'm sure a lot of people including me, have missed your posts. Quite a crew you have gathered there & there is no better fishing than when you have some great fishermen & women to share it with. keep up the good work!

I went back yesterday to the new lake that I fished a week or so ago. I got set up in the dark & when it got light I saw bubble trails & carp surfacing out in front of me. I got the first fish shortly there after & was thinking I was going to have a busy day. About eight o'clock all the activity in front of me ceased. I didn't get another fish until shortly before noon & after that, nothing. The carp just left the area. It was a new spot on the lake that I wanted to try, looked good but did not produce. I did good at the first spot I tried there & now have a few more spots to try to find a steady bite. The highlight of the day was the fall foliage. Contrasting colors all over & I really enjoyed them & the carp didn't bother me much so I had a great time just gazing at the surrounding hills.

Great session & AWESOME MIRROR!

That's what is so exciting about carp fishing, when the alarm sounds & the line starts going out, you never know what is on the other end. Awesome, interesting fish!

During the winter months I send my reels out to Sea Isle Tackle for complete breakdown, cleaning & replacement of any worn parts.
They do an excellent job & I am confident they will perform well for the next year of fishing.

I have seen that happen a few times on the river here. My father years ago was a victim of that. Fortunately I was able to get out in about 4 ft of water & grab the rod before it was lost completely.

Day 4
in New England
Nice going! Awesome mirror!

Will it float while dry? I tried something a while back but it floated. I figured that it would weigh a ton when wet. Worth a try! Or you could put some milk and sugar on it.........real healthy breakfast food. Then it would be just a short hop to your favorite carping spot.

I scouted a new lake here last Saturday that I never thought about fishing. The lake is quite large & from talking to some of the people fishing there I learned that there were many carp sightings there. I spoke to some of the bass fishermen there about the depth of the lake & got a report of some spots at 17 to 21 ft. I decided to fish there yesterday & not knowing anything about structure or where the carp might be hanging around I just picked out a spot that looked good. Apparently I made a good choice because I banked 14 fish. Weights were from 9 lbs to 24 lbs. Water is super clear & I could see the fish that I released go out a long way. I have a few more spots to try there & feel the lake has great potential for some bigger fish. I will be back there in the near future!

Congrats on the mirror! Sometimes the smaller fish pull harder than the biggies.

Nice going! You certainly have access to some awesome mirrors!

Very nice video & taking the time to film some of the wildlife. There's not too many times that a bear swims across your venue!

I fished Moon Lake again yesterday & this time I had Rebelcarp & Jiggerjim with me for most of the day. Jim didn't fish but kept us company most of the day. We ended up with 7 fish. I got a new PB mirror @ 17 lbs 8 oz. I was happy with that. Also I have been wanting to see if I could get a 20 pounder out of there & I came close with a 19 lb 2 oz which is the biggest fish I have from that lake so far. Great weather & good company & a PB mirror, it don't get much better than that!
