I went back to Moon Lake again hoping to get a heavier fish than the 17 pounder that is the biggest I have caught from that lake so far. I managed to get an 18 pounder so I was successful. Now on to a 20 from there. Also I again got two mirrors & one of them is a mirror I caught there before. JigerJim fished most of the day with me & between us we banked 13 fish. Very weedy lake bottom but we always manage to get fish there.

I fished Moon Lake again yesterday. I checked the weed growth in the lake two days prior & it didn't look to bad so I gave it a shot. I ended up banking 23 fish & the weather was absolutely perfect for fishing. The 23 fish included two mirrors. I have been getting a few mirrors this year for some reason & am thankful for that.

Nice job on the video John. Looks like you carry along enough gear to get you through the day. Those bags are easier to deal with than the buckets. I treated myself to a barrow bag & now I don't need the buckets. All my gear goes in the bag & is a lot better organized.
Very nice carp & a good size on the channel.
My last trip on the river here resulted in no carp & one channel cat but it was only about half the size of your 10 pounder.

The river here is finally getting good so I hit a favorite spot yesterday with hope of getting some bigger fish than I have been getting in the lakes I have been fishing. Also got to fish with JiggerJim again. We ended up with 14 fish landed & I was lucky & got another mirror. It's been a long time since I got a river mirror. I have caught a few in the lakes this year but the river mirrors are few & far in between.

Weather was perfect & all fish were caught on yellow & white Clone Valley corn stacks with PVA mesh with strawberry grits, panko & old fashion oats on the hook link.

I checked the river here on Thursday & although the level was good, the water was very muddy so I decided I would fish the Pipes yesterday. Got set up at 6:15 & hoped for a good day but the bite was not there & I only ended up with two small fish in 12 hrs. Weather was very good though & after all the storms & hot weather we have been having, I enjoyed just getting out.

I fished the Pipes yesterday from a little before 7 AM 'till 8 PM. Bite was slow & I only had three runs all day. Weather was fantastic for a mid July day though & I really enjoyed the day after all the wet, hot & humid weather we have been having here. Hope the river settles down here soon so I can get a shot at some bigger fish.

I fished the Pipes again yesterday in a different spot from where I fished last week. The morning bite was almost non-existent but picked up better in the afternoon hrs. I ended up banking 7 fish & the last fish was a mirror so that made my day. PVA bags & PVA mesh with strawberry grits, oatmeal & panko went on the hook links.

I personally don't think the moon affects the carp bite. At least for me, I haven't noticed an difference, there are many other factors that affect the bite.
