Awesome! Worth all of the 256 miles!
Haven't heard Gene Autry in a lot of years!

I was stationed at Ft. Campbell from 58 to 61 & fished a lot of areas there. If you can't find fish down there, you're not looking. Kentucky Lake, the name is changed now, had some of the biggest carp I have ever seen.

Nice catch!! Some great looking water there.

JiggerJim & I fished together yesterday. It was very windy at times but tolerable. I lost the first fish to some trees along the shoreline but was successful landing six more for the day. Jim didn't get any hits all day but had a good time sharing the shoreline with me & swaping stories & tactics. We always have a good time fishing together even if no fish are caught. Jim made a new friend for life when he offered one of the local ducks some bread & the duck fell in love too, even laid down at his feet & went to sleep! Some pics.

I fished a new lake from noon to 6 PM yesterday & had a constant bite but mostly small fish again. There were some much larger fish jumping down the lake from me & next trip I will move to that area. The water was only about 3 ft deep in the area I fished. I caught well over 20 fish in that time & it's always nice to have good action. The biggest one I caught was 14 lbs.

Awesome pics! Mr. Lunar was definitely smiling & so were you... making the day a HUGE success! Does this water hold larger fish?
Definately holds larger fish. I got a few 20's there last year. This year with all the rain & flooding we had here the small ones seem more active than the big ones.

Very Very NICE! Congrats!

Hit the water at daybreak yesterday & there was very heavy fog on the water 'till around 11 AM. Bite was slow all day & I only managed 8 carp & all were small. The biggest one only weighed10 lbs. But the weather was fantastic for a change & I thoroughly enjoyed the day. I fished 'till dark & walked out with the man in the moon smilling at me. But.....I don't know if he was smilling.......or was he laughing??

A short vid of me & JiggerJim on the North Branch.
Windy Day

Fished with JiggerJim again yesterday. Cold wind all day that didn't settle down 'till sunset. Lost the first two fish I hooked to a tree that had fallen into the water about 30 yds from where I was fishing. Jim & I got a rope hooked to the tree & dragged it up onto the shore & out of the way. It seems like every fish I hook there always head for that tree & the next one I hooked did the same but his refuge was gone! He probably wasn't very happy & headed back out to the middle of the lake where I was able to control him & get him to the net. The next three fish I hooked headed for the tree that was there & I had no problem getting them to the net. I had a total of 6 hook ups but only landed 4. Jim had the skunk with him again & I felt bad getting fish when he wasn't. We took pics of the four fish but somehow one of the pics got deleted.
