We fished Moon Lake yesterday & had a pretty good day. We banked 20 fish & lost a few to the weeds. The lake bottom is covered with thick weeds but being the good carpers we are LOL we were successful any how. Jim is 81 yrs young & just had some surgery on his throat so his voice was not good. With his voice being bad & my hearing being bad it was an interesting day. I only heard about half of what he said.
I messed up when I was editing the video so some of the segments are out of sequence & also had to delete some of it because it was over 40 gigs. But...You'll get the jist of it.

I fished a lake 22 miles from me that I heard had some carp but I never fished it. I checked it out about two weeks ago & saw a lot of carp in the spawning mode in the back part of the lake so it was on my list of places to fish & I was able to get there yesterday. It is a part of a public park & has a lot of visitors. The weather was great all day. I had no idea of where to fish there so I gambled on a spot & it paid off. I ended up with 19 fish total & one mirror included. I think I might visit that lake again!

Skammer, when Peter got back to the UK, he asked me for a list of everything he needs to buy, so he can take his daughter fishing for carp there!
I knew by the look on his face that he would be addicted. That was a no brainer!

I like the pics you take of your area & narrative that goes along with them........BUT.......If you guys keep catching all those fish, Max is gonna need a tongue transplant come fall!!

I fished the river here yesterday & we had 36 degrees for a start. I had high hopes for a lot bigger carp than I have been catching in the lakes. I only got one in the 20s & the other 3 were in the teens. The bite was slow all day but I at least I didn't get skunked like I did at this spot last week. The rest of the day was pleasant with cool temps & it was comfortable fishing. The first fish put up a good scrap & after I weighed him I put him back in the water without holding him up for a look see. Don't know why I did it but I guess it has to do with having too many birthdays! LOL

Great set of pics & story. Just goes to show ya that even a shy child can be a success & work their way to retirement & be able to enjoy the good things in life with a good attitude & determination.

Carpin at The pipes

I fished the Pipes yesterday & as I was walking down the shore line & there were carp everywhere bumping up against the shore line & spawning so I thought for sure I was going to blank. At 7:30 they left the shore & I started getting fish after 9. I ended up with 6 fish for the day but should have had 8. I lost 2 to the brush on the other side.
The fish here are not monsters but fight better than any other fish I have caught in any other lakes. They are super charged for some reason.
