Another good video with some great captures! A bit windy but I think sometimes the wind helps keep the carp biting.

Great session & a very great video. Good teaching Logan to lock the gears on the baitcaster before lifting the pole. I didn't do it once & had one heck of a mess to deal with!
As I was watching Logan, I was thinking he was going to sleep good that night but I see he already fell asleep in the car.

I fished Chilli yesterday morning 'till sunset. I banked 17 fish but all on the small side. A fun day none the less. Got pretty windy in the afternoon & messed with the sound on the video.

I thought the hair rig is supposed to hook them in the lower jaw.....Not on the butt end!

I fished the Pipes again yesterday but in a different spot. I fished off one of the two jettys that go out in the lake. Temps were in the high twenties & with a breeze & it was a cold morning. When the sun got high it warmed quite a bit. A little after noon some clouds rolled in & it got very windy with strong gusts & that wiped out the action. I banked 5 fish before noon & had no action after that & I fished 'till 7 PM. Good morning but a quiet afternoon. The fish aren't huge there but they pull good & are a lot of fun.

I fished the Pipes yesterday. Day break temp was 26 degrees so I didn't get in & set up 'till 9 AM. There was only one area of the lake that wasn't iced over so that's where I fished. The day got warm quickly & I had hopes of a good bite. I didn't get my first run 'till 4 PM & lost that fist to a snag on the shore line. The next run came a short time later & I was able to capture my first gold of the year.
I got some of the day on video but lost some of it to my rookie editing. Need to get more practice so I guess I'll have to fish more!

Seems like nobody respects the outdoors any more. They think it is a place to party & leave their garbage there. I used to pick it up all the time & carry it out but I don't do that any more. Maybe if the people that are doing it see what they are causing, they will stop it. But....For real I don't think that will happen!
Good to see Chad getting out. He looks pretty good after all he has been through & is still going through.

I fished a spot on the river here that I had good luck there last spring. The water clarity was poor & all kinds of junk & icebergs were floating by. I fished from noon 'till 6 PM & got my first skunk for the year. I made a short video to show the conditions.
We have a promise of some 50 degree temps coming this week so maybe the lakes will open up.

The creek here was frozen over again & with the wind I didn't think you would venture out. Gotta give ya credit for making the sacrifice! Glad ya didn't get skunked.
Looks like the lake is opening up a lot more.
