  1. Short sleeves & open water! "OUCH' You sure know how to hurt a guy! I can only dream about that now. Most lakes here have anywhere from 18 in to 20 in of ice on them & the river here is frozen solid all the way across in most places.

Anyhooo, I enjoyed the video & riding along with you. Nice clear video & some great looking water! Thanks for sharing.

  2. AWESOME! I loved all the pics & seeing some open water to fish. I'm VERY jealous! Up here in Pa. Our temps are going down to zero or below tonight. UGGGGH!

If''n I was you, I would rent one of those house boats & ride out the rest of the winter there.

Looks like some great looking fish were had & Max is building his tongue muscles for the coming spring & summer catches!

  3. Finding open water to fish in January is a huge plus! Catching fish would be just the icing on the cake. Up here in PA the lakes, rivers & streams are solid ice. It's 5 degrees here right now & long range forecast is for below average temps so carpin here right now is just a pipe dream. C'mon spring!

  4. Thanks for all the comments guys. My inspiration for making some videos came from John Finney, Brian Wingard, Ol Capitan, RebelCarp & zirjacks & a few others that have posted videos here. I like the fact that the camera can be set up in back of your cradle or mat with a view of the fishing area & you can see the fish getting caught & netted & also get a great view of the fish instead of trying to beat a 10 second timer! I fish most of the time by my self because of a lack of carpers in my area & sometimes beating that timer is not easy.

Video equipment has come down in price the last few years & editing is a lot easier. I downloaded the free edit program from Garmin it is very easy to use. I don't have it mastered yet but am working on it. Hope to see a lot more carpers get into it. C'mon Spring!

  5. I fished the Pipes yesterday & finally got the skunk off my back. I ended up with two carp for the day & was happy for that. Any carp caught in late December is a bonus.

Had sunshine most of the day. Previously we went through 17 days without sunshine. Probably be my last carp for this year. Hopefully we can have some warm weather throughout the rest of the winter & maybe get out for a session before spring arrives. I made a video of the day.
