I finally got two videos uploaded of Adam getting some cold carp yesterday.
Enjoy!

Look's like a new adventure for ya Jim. Let's see if we can run it out film next summer at Tunky. I've Been wanting to get out but with out no sun out there I can't get get wound up it. As you my no there hasen't been any sun for the last 2 week's. Maybe I mentioned it be for I hate winter.
Hope to get a lot more vids next year. This no sun period for so long sucks & I do believe if it would shine for most of the day, the carpin would be a lot better. I had a blank on the river last Monday & yesterday was fishless for me again. That's 5 blanks out of the last 5 times I have been out. Don't want to keep that streak going!

I was very happy to see us get any action at all. Two very good cold carp captures ya got there.
It was very damp along with the cold there & the brolly & heater made it a lot more comfortable.
I have two videos in the process of uploading now & will post them later.

Great video, good quality ... thank's for sharing !
GoPro ?
Camera is a Garmin Verb. I looked at the Go Pro & liked the design of the Verb better. Both are good cameras.

I acquired a new action camcorder & knew where RebelCarp was fishing so I paid him a visit to try out the new cam. Tenps were in the low 30's & a breeze blowing. I stayed with him for a few hrs but there was no action.
Here's a short vid of him baiting up & giving it a toss.

Looks like it don't take you long to gather a crew. It's good to have some friends to share the bank with when the fish aren't bothering you.
Hooray for the " Hooch'

One carp is better than none! Nice going! Persistence pays off!
-
Good luck at the "Hooch". I hope Max can get his licks in.
I fished the Susky here Monday from daybreak 'till dark & drew my fourth blank there. Rebelcarp spent most of the day with me & although conditions on the river were just about perfect, the carp had lockjaw!

Always something! But it could have been worse! They could have been scooping up your chum like the ducks did!
-
One wind knot in that braid & its back to the drawing board!
-
Good job in getting out in the snow & landing a fish. I got skunked my last trip there.
-
Awesome pics & providing us with the story of how thing were & how they are now. Hope this year & every year is good for you & your retirement will allow you to spend many days on the "Hooch"
-
Cool Dad looks like he is standing on one leg in this pic.
Sorta reminds me of a duck from a few sessions past.
Sorry but I coulden't help myself! LOL

A basic hair rig & some patience & if there are carp where you are fishing, you will have success.
I don't subscribe to all the exotic flavors & baits & on Oct. 4 th of last year I landed a total of 22 fish that had a total weight of 436 lbs!
Good luck & my advice would be to keep it basic & simple.

Hey OC......Go for it! The best part of your life will follow. The last 25 yrs I worked was as a correctional officer for the state of Pennsylvania. I retired at age 59 with full med benefits but now I only get 52 weeks of paid vacation every year! I have never had a time when I didn't have anything to do.
From all your posts & activities I think you will never be bored for the rest of your life.
People who retire & have nothing to do don't want to have anything to do!
You & Cool Dad had a good day & the pics are fantastic!

I would have been very pleased if that eagle had filled it's stomach on those vile, quacking, annoying, bait diving, swim wrecking, feathered beasts ! Yes, peeking duck, plum sauce, would have been a fine use for them !
Sheesh, yes, Canada got me again (4-2 now this year).
I tell ya, it's a curse ! first they break away from the Commonwealth, then they slaughter me at fishing, what next ?
I am sensing a conspiracy here.
Ron was the winner of a "giveaway" prize on a local fishing forum, a day's fishing with CarpQuest, earlier this year. He claimed to never have fished for carp before. Lies i tell ya, all lies!
I suspect he spent months training with the CAG members in Canada before they sent him south, with that innocent grin, to wreak havoc on a poor, unsuspecting Englishman!
Of course, Ron would say he's spent a fortune now on carp fishing gear and it's all "Finney's" fault... i deny that, obviously. I am innocent !

You're a riot John! Now you have me laughing out loud!
Who has more fun than the poor people!

Another good video! Tells the story. The eagle was probably interested in the ducks, I have seen them go after the ducks here on the river.
Very nice full scaled mirror. Canada got ya again! LOL

NICE! When the Carp Bug bites you, there's no vaccine or cure. You just gotta live with it!
-
I did enjoy the pics of your journey! You always have great pics of the surrounding areas you fish. To me, it's not just about the fish but the interesting encounters along the way.
A 70 degree day to fish in December is priceless!
-
I love reading your tales & enjoy all your pics! A day well spent!

One is always better than none! Glad you got a chance to get out.

A man of many talents for sure! Happy birthday Tim!
