Don't sweat it , trust me jealously is a bigger factor than morality in this case
No stress man i just have to defend my name thats all !!

I came out here with peace !! I aways post photos which i enjoy doing ! Some people that are posting on my topic all this non sense, how about you guys post some pictures of your catches... Lets see what you got and than ill judge you about your bait, swims and ect. See how would you feel !

To each his own, Mike. I respect your opinion and your reliance on such reports. I share in the jubilation of all who catch fish and report those catches and even indicate which bait they used. Congratulations to all. I just don't appreciate the thinly-veiled attempt to sell something with the reports, and I'm just surprised that Mihai allows it. But, if I don't like it, I suppose nobody is holding a gun to my head, forcing me to read it. It's a free forum, so to each his own.--Frank
The bait is not even on the market yet ! No one is trying to sell you anything buddy as a field tester my job is to prove and show people that the new baits do work and catch fish ! How do you think all the bait companies started ? Just by making a name an boom making god knows how much money a year ! I do this because i enjoy what Ido ! I enjoy catching fish and testing new products for K1 !!

It's just a matter of opinion I guess. I personally enjoy these catch reports, even if they have advertising. Anyone who knows how to fish knows that the type of bait is probably the least important variable (notice I said least important and not that it was not important) that we have control over. Locating fish and presenting something they'll eat (or even mouth) is all it takes.
But people have to advertise if they want to sell their stuff. I'm glad when I see these k-1 bait reports, not because it convinces me that it's the best bait in the world but because it reminds me that k-1 baits is out there. And the products they are offering. Believe me, I would probably never go on the k-1 baits website to see what new products they have on my own. But now because of Paul and Ivelin sharing, I know that they have soluble boilies, garlic, and soon to be released anise. I gain knowledge of their product line and because of them, I checked out the k-1 baits website. Sharing catch reports with advertisement is a good thing. Why is it bad?
I hope k-1 baits, world classic baits, big carp tackle, resistance tackle, etc etc all succeed.
Very well said Mike ! Thank You ! Thats all i have to say..

My dear Illinois friend,
If it was NOT a K1 promotion then the title of the thread would be something like "catching big ones in New York" or "another good session".
Also through out the whole post it was all about talking about K1 baits.....not just showing the nice fish.
But thanks at the attempt to clear that up .
As far as "spot jumping" and all that mess , does not happen here in my State, glad I dont live in NY cause I wouldnt post a single catch report on the forums telling/showing where i'm fishing because that chit would not fly very far with me. No way I would put time into a building a swim only to have some other carper catching fish off my hard work if that was the case.
To start off this way !! The swim we have fished, is fished by a locals every single day !! It the most popular swim in the whole state of NY !! And as i mentioned early mat has been baitin up a different swim about "30" yards as he says . Its a current river and we fished upstream of mats spot so this means his baits were washing out opposite way ! So please if your not familiar with the swim and where we fished dont get involved !

Thanks to those who appreciate my work and passion for fishing ! Thanks for the support and respect ! There will be many more fish in this forum to be posted and no one will stop me ! I might lay low but i aways make posts with my fish and rewards ! Thanks for the nice comments.
Tight lines guys !

Ah ok. It sounded like you caught Monday also so figured they were still there from our campaign. We were only about 30 yards past the fence but went through 30lbs in 5 days.
And again ! You baited up the river ! Not at LB, i dont know why you keep mentioning our campaign, we fished totally different spots !
-
Glad to see the fish are still there being as tom and I have been baiting that since last Wednesday... Haven't fished it since Sunday tho. It definitely brought in the big girls too which is good to see!
Hey Mat ! Not sure what do you mean by your post ! I will put my word very simple. We have dropped around 10lbs of boilies, the whole river smelled like garlic ! I prebaited on Sunday night and fished monday and Tuesday ! Not to mention that we have used another 50lb of packpait ! Fishing on monday was very slow and we ha few fish ! When we showed up on Tuesday i had 3 high twenties right off the bat ! This only tells you the fish have move in on our bait and were holding there ! From what i have heard from few people is that you were fishing up te river about 100 150 yards from LB ! My question is, are you trying to take credit for out session or what ? We were there we caught fish we posted pictures !

Soon to be out ! They have banke some nice fish in te past few months !

Pretty warn out from the past few days, this only means we caught lots of fish ! As my trip began i got off work on Sunday, rushed home and packed the car, knowing its a 4 hour drive i packed some extra red bull and hit the road ! As i was driving Sean called me to talk techniques and bait ! We decided to use some garlic flavor baits. I arrived in town around 10pm, my idea was i will stop by the swim and bait up with some Tutty Fruity and some soluble Garlic K1 boilies. The next day we were at the swim bright and early, there was some fish movement but not what we expected. Lines were in the water in less than 30 minutes and the wait began. It did not take too long for me to get my first run but lost it due to a hook pull ! Too bad i lost my second and 3rd run also ! After talking to Sean
i decided to start switching rigs and experimenting to see what is really working ! I finally got the rig right and caught some mid to high teens, not what we were after but still showed the K1 bait was working great and fish were feeding on the Boilies! Around mid afternoon Sean's left rod had a drop back, after few minutes there was a 30.3 laying on the mat, caught on Anise bottom bait boilie. Not to long after we brought the day to an end with one 30+ and some smaller fish ! We baited up again and took off for some cold beers and warm food. The next day was a total opposite ! I started with few smaller fish followed by a 27+,29+,27+. The fish were taking K1 Concept 12mm garlic pop ups. Thru out the day they changed their flavors few times, we caught on toffe pop ups, Anise bottom boilies and Soluble Garlic ! Sean hook in a high teen mirror which was a great fish and glad we had at least one mirror. The day ended with lots of high teens, low 20s and few mid 20s !! Guys these baits are not out on the market yet still testing out to see how they are working all over the places !!!
Enjoy

K-1 has some quality bait !! You can find many flavors that will catch you some good size fish !! Pineapple ice cream, fruity peach, are one of the most used flavors out there! Theres new flavors being tested, Anise boilies, maize pack flavor, fruity fish mix boilies, the new range of garlic is on the market which is great and proven to catch big fish !! Give them a try

WoW... awesome lumps and congrats on the PBz !!
The pic of the fish with the hook attached,... I get fish in the Hudson like that every now and then. The lips are serrated as if they are feeding on a rough surface or mouthing mussels away from rocks ?
That was upstate but yes I've gottent them in te Hudson all ruff and darker bottom lip !!! Where I fish on the Hudson it's all mud bays just a little down the river from your spot !!!

Really depends. Here in some spots, we fish heavy heavy braid due to certain things on the bottom (sharp rocks, zebra mussels etc.) Other spots, we fish light"er" mono for (float fishing, fishing on a sand bottom, etc) So really you get what I'm trying to say. Its kinda of like "matching the hatch" I'd ask around if I were you. I like to use 12-15lb Mono, or 30-60lb braid. Cheers.
fishing braid is not very good idea... braid harms the fish and it will cut thru their fins and scales... try using a heavier fluro leader 30 40ft leader tied to your mainline... braid is one of the worst lines you can use for carp and i know that from own experience... you dont get no play on the rod... good luck
-
Thanks i guess your preyers have been heard lol another 30 for me with 2 more 20s in my book broke my USA PB...
-
what kind of carp is that? Not a mirror or a common
If theres no scales on the fish its a leather carp... Many people say no scales but they tend to have few scales on them but less than mirrors... The dorsal scale patern is one of the ways to tell if its a leather or a mirror

Depends on what kind of swims and areas you will be fishing... i have 12lb on my spear spools and 15 on the reels... 15 i use in the river and snaggy places where i have to put more pressure on the fish...
good luck
