Get a salmon net and buy a carp safe mesh for it that way you get the best of both worlds. Unless your concerned about space when packed up.

Seems to me all the big outdoors shops do. bps, cabelas, gander mountain. They are all into it because they don't see the profit potential to support what we do.

Also when testing a bait its best to do so side by side with others in a swim where the fish aren't as carefree eaters as they are in Longbranch..

Exactly shawn, I didn't mean to take away from this fish caught. All I ment was I was glad to see big fish come out of there still. I didn't mean to sound like I was attacking Ivan, were friends and I wouldn't take a swing at him no matter who's he's bating for. Just this k1 promo crap out of a swim that almost always produces makes me laugh. Yes I was fishing away from them but why test a bait in an area that bait doesn't seem to matter. As for a write up of my campaign, I won't write one up. I'm not a shameless self promoter. I did it to catch and for my own fishing not to gain recognition here. People are too much into there own fame and that's not why I joined cag and why I don't post write ups. If people like a bait company that's fine were allowed to. I have my business cause I like to make bait and see people catch on them not for the profit. Also this makes it a second time that I'm aware of that k1 team has swim jumped and tried to claim there work into a swim as there own. So take what you want from my posts. That's why I believe to each there own...

Ah ok. It sounded like you caught Monday also so figured they were still there from our campaign. We were only about 30 yards past the fence but went through 30lbs in 5 days.

Glad to see the fish are still there being as tom and I have been baiting that since last Wednesday... Haven't fished it since Sunday tho. It definitely brought in the big girls too which is good to see!

I run 40lb braid with a 30lb big game leader if its really weedy.

No you could probably get away with one ounce. I always use two ounce except the spring.

The normal running rig or lead clip is fine and in October the weeds shouldn't be as bad. Also there's a local tackle shop if you happen to run low they have most of what you would need.

Can't say I've taken a slip like that at the pod. But unlike him I didn't get tje fish or Tue wedgy... My buddy and I laughed so hard I forgot I had a run til it was too late. -_-

You should have seen the little fish I had with my brother out by montezuma last week all around 10lbs and all energy!

Grats! They are a different breed up there compared to what I'm used to. They seem a lot stronger and more energetic then the fish from my local river!

If it's out by montezuma that part is full of little fish. on puff or otherwise, we've tried both approaches out that way you can catch hundreds of them all around 10lbs
