  1. That's exactly it bob... you said you had a great time and so did I. To me that's what the classic should be about. If anyone has attended any classics in the past I would assume most of your best memories from the event would be more than just fishing. The venue at Lake storey will for sure be a great time... on and off the bank.

I may be going out on a limb here but I like going fishing to any event where other carpers will gather to shoot the sh#* and have a good time. I never go to any event expecting to win $$$ or any prizes... I go to as bob said " have a great time". Now you throw in camping along with fishing. .. sounds great.

I will help Bill in any way possible to make lake storey a go.

Oh yeah.... I caught some great fish there back in the fall.... so Im sure the lake will offer good fishing for the CCC.

  2. A few more pics from the October 2014 Fall Fish-in at Lake Storey follow. That venue would certainly have my enthusiastic support as the site of CCC 2015! Even with the "draw-down" as pictured here, there is still plenty of water and a plethora of bankspace to accommodate CAG participants. --Frank

  3. I'm in it for lake storey. I think that making the classic into a camping weekend with other carpers on a great producing lake sounds like a great idea. I spent 5 days camping and fishing there last fall and had a blast. I got to see Russ' s 41 pounder and I was shocked. The campground is easy to get to, clean, and it's within a couple of miles from retail and grocery stores. As far as the number 200 anglers bieng thrown out.... that would be great. I think we all know that realistically that number will be less than 75 and lake storey is more than adequate to accommodate that many anglers. I also think that alot people that live in the central part of the US that didn't travel to NY for whatever reason wold be more likely to fish at a more central location.
