  1. Carp shark ain't cursed , the harder the trial the greater the effort the more enjoyable the reward .

Tell you TRUE story of my own . Just purchased a new cabelas rod for stripers . First two weeks it would not catch . Thought the rod was hexed . but three days ago I finally got two stripers on it and one the next day . Moral to story , No such thing as cursed equipment just cursed thoughts . (so I'd like to believe )

  2. Hello all ,

With the 80f weather in early April I decided to hit the Hudson for some Striper action . I got to the swim and set up . The first hour was slow , then I got a run . Kinda jerky run , was sure it was a Striper . Lots of head shaking . I set up on the fish . A good battle was on . The whole time this is occuring, I am sure it's a large Striper . When I put the net out I see gold , thats odd I thought, isn't white . It never occured to me that it wasn't a Striper . Seems gold I thought , but I was fishing a bloodworm with a HUGE hook . So I assumed it was a Striper . Well to cut to the chase it was a 13 lbs carp . What a surprise , caught a Carp without trying , Man this rules . Although I was secretly disappointed it wasn't my target fish . Pretty cool all in all . Heard and seen many guys catch on bloodworms before , but never had it happen to me .

    Wasn't what I was after , but , still pretty awesome !!!

Sorry for the in your face pic , tide was high , no real estate
