The Evening of Sunday 8 th June thought i would go off Spend a couple hours at my Fav ole fishing spot
not really expecting to catch, it was more of a case of baiting up the swim for the next Stupid 0 clock Morning
but thought i would put a line out for hour or two anyway.
it was a bright a lovley evening i love fishing of this little Canoe dock ( why i normally only fish there stupid 0clock in the morning)
so was it unusual for me try and fish it in the evening ( though often pre bait there in evenings) because it can get busy with canoe's
well it is a canoe dock haha.
When i arrived i was expecting maybe some of the Canoes to be maybe arriving back after a day out the water as it was already 7 pm
but the Car park was empty apart from two trucks , one of which i recognized as my Next door neighbours son's he and his mates where just getting there canoe ready to go out on the water
so all was good wasnt going to get to disrupted by canoe's .
So i got my bait box and sling shot all set up ready for a spot off baiting , and i cast a heavy feeder of ground dog biscuit, birdseed and cream corn mix , with a hook bait of plastic pop up corn and 4 gulp power maggots , and started shooting out some baits to my fav spot ready for stupid 0 clock the next morning .
My line only been in the water a min or so i had a run , turned out to be a nice 10 pound cat . so i cast out again to the same spot as before
and carry on my baiting, and hour or so went by and the Lads with the canoe arrived back so i reeled in and moved out there way so they could all get out and pull there canoe up.
Once they had done there thing and all was peaceful again i cast out once more, saying to myself final cast ill pack up go home in another half hour, come back stupid 0 clock in the Morning.
when BOOM !! another Run and boy was it taking off , the bend in the rod was telling me i had a nice fish on here, the water where i am fishing has now got heavy with weed so i was having to pull the fish
though this which i thought was making the fish seem heaver than it was maybe ?
When i saw the fish for the first time and saw it back , ahh cool another 20 + maybe mustn't loose this one come on in the Net my lovley !!

The Next Morning at Stupid 0 clock i cast once again to the far bank , 4 fish hit the net 3 nice Doubles
and one nice 24 pounder BOOM get in Gurt Carp.
I am with doubt having my best season since Moving here to Canada learnt a lot from these pages here at CAG
like to give a special mention to Mark (hairwig) enjoyed are fish in together and thanks for the Pop up's and bolies .
and to Brain Wingard for his pack bait videos .

Hey up folks i have been up early at Stupid o clock for a few early Morning session before the Mrs gets up and takes the truck to work.
first session was fishing lighter tackle with my 9ft stalker using a small cage feeder of ground corn and hemp with a hook bait of plastic pop up corn and two gulp power maggots
lost count of how many fish hit the net , 5 Cats and about 10 Carp good Mornings Angling all the fish were around the 6 to 8 pound mark but lots of fun on the 9ft stalker though did net one a little bit Bigger...................
The following Morning i was again up at Stupid 0 clock in search of Bigger gurt Carp , this time getting the heavy weapons out of ....
a heavy paste bomb bolt rigged with a pack bait of ground maze and ground dog biscuit mixed with cream corn ,with a hook bait of a plastic pop up corn and three Power bait Maggots ...
Turned out to be Top Mornings Angling 3 Twenty pound fish hit the net, 9 fish hit the net all together . Boom Gurt Carp get In !!

and again this morning i was up at stupid 0 clock . i love being up at the crack off dawn and down at the waterside close to nature there is nothing like it
even better when you net a couple of fish , only one Carp this Morning a nice 22 pounder and a couple nice kitty Cats hit the net to.
this Morning i fished a heavy bolt rigged feeder, with a pack bait of ground Maze and dog biscuit and cream corn with a hook bait of 4 gulp power maggots

22 may 2014 . Spent a Nice Sunny day Float fishing , with my fav little Waggler , and My Wychwood Extractor Rod what a blast great fun, lost count of how many fish i caught must off been around 18 fish most around the 12 to 15 Lbs mark and
a 21 and a 19.
Simple old style fishing , proper fishing as my old Dad would say , just 3 bits of Muscle Corn direct to the hook with nice small stick Waggler over a bed of Maze fed Little and often....
When i arrived i spent a good 15 min just standing on the bridge watching the water and over to one corner not far from where i often set up i saw lots bubbles circles and and nice dark clouds
just a couple rod lengths from the bank so the tactics where made up right there for me.
And it seems they where hungry and on the feed which was GOOD for me ha ha ...
so what a lovely day it was Dangling a Waggler

It was Monday 19th May Victoria Day here in Canada and my alarm went off at Stupid 0 Clock ( 4 : 30 Am ) i stirred but didn't want to wake" oh sod it do i really want to be getting up out of bed it's so warm and comfy" , but the weather forecast kept going on through my head
it's going to be perfect ....
So get your ass out of bed , and so this argument went on in side my crazy head for the next half hour , and so finally at 5 am , i get up have a good old pee and then down stairs put the kettle on, let the Dog out so he to could pee. Drink my Nice Hot sweet tea and then set off to my Fav early morning fishing spot.
Oh and what a wonderful morning it was to , there was no wind and not a sound apart from the Birds and there early morning song . and the water so smooth looking just like Glass
to which oh so soon would be shattered by my 3 ounce paste Bomb of ground Koi pellet and Bird seed garlic mix.
But first just a couple of catapults of the same mix fired out to which i was hopping was going to be the magic spot, ah but little did i know what was to come in 2 hours time.
and so set i up my 13 foot Diawa Carp Rod with said Paste bomb with a Hook bait of Banana and Pineapple Boilie and a Plastic Pop up and caste to the Magic spot ..................
Half hour later and we are off with the first of 3 fish in a short hour period all the fish being upper doubles the biggest being 15 pound and so one is pretty content to be catching such nice fish in such a beautiful place and such a gorgeous morning. glad i got my ass out of bed.
Now the Sun was peeping its bright warm head up over the tree line and all is right with the world. i was Just starting to set up my 9 ft Wythwood Stalker with my fav waggler as i had spotted some nice bubbles and Carp Circles in the near Margin , when my big old Carp D was off again BUT this time IT really was tacking off on a Massive run , The Diawa reel screaming its tune . i picked up ew the bend in the Rod was something else, think might have a good en here i say to myself oh But then boof oh oh all went a bit stiff and solid , Snag ? Fish bottomed out Nooooo come on dont want to loose this one and so a couple Min's go by which felt like for ever nothing moved , but still the massive bend in the tip of the Rod, ah but then
wooosh the Reel is screaming off again COME ON !! were In and so 5 Min's latter the fish is at the tip of my Net eww looks a Nice fish and then lifting my prize out of the water i realize i have a fish of a life time a New P.B for shore , A Hole in One, a FA Cup Win , a Stanley Cup Victory
Oh the Adrenalin rush , as i take him to the unhooking mat i feel my self shaking oh man its a beast of a fish oh boy wow that's what were talking about, man what a brilliant feeling ,
And so i quickly took some photos of my Prize and then took him back to his dark watery Home telling him thank you for making my day and let him slowly swim off back to his home.
Few what a Morning what a feeling .

Well its been a Long old Winter but now Spring has sprung and its time to get out there and get at them
It's been so nice to finally get outside breath in that fresh air take in natures sites and sounds and hopefully net a few nice Kippers .
Well i think i went out tried a bit to early as my first session's all ended in a Blank or Skunked ( 5 in row och ) as you say over here oh well
but it was a tad cold at times ..
ICEBERG ahoy !!
But finally broke my duck on the 13 April with this nice little kipper...
And 10 days later ...................
so we are of hoorah .. ....
And so to the weekend just gone .....................Had a real good couple off sessions and 17 fish in total hit the net !! 2 on the Saturday and 15 fish hit the Net on Sunday
Had a good few lovely looking Hybrids but also but a couple real nice Kippers in a 18 and a 23 pounder on the Sunday and a 15 on the Saturday get in !!
All the fish were caught with a Single Plastic Pop Up fished over a bed off Chickpeas and Maze , fished with a in line bolt rig with a size 8 hook ...

Sundays 18 Pounder took off like a Rocket lovely ....

Sun's going Down soon time to pack and make way for Home and a nice roast dinner and a cup of tea

Just been out to my garage to have a sort through and clean up of my Angling gear for the coming season ( First of the year planned for Next weekend !!! Cant wait )
and was nicely surprised how much tackle bits N bobs i still have which is good as my challenge this year is going to be fishing on a very
restricted budget as i am skint and have very little money for Angling this year.
So it's going to make for interesting years fishing i will be making one on line order this year for hooks a few feeder and leads and that will be about it
all my bait will be locally sourced this year luckily the wife works at Pet value so i will get lots nice free goodies and the local feed store always nice cheap sacks of corn.
The real challenge is going not being amble to buy any carp tackle as there is nowhere local to buy specialist tackle all we have is Wallmart and Canadian-tire and one small tackle shop downtown not that i have the money anyway. so its going to make for a real challenge this year catching them Bars of gold but still hopeful and will be trying my hardest to beat them PB 's
Roll on next week end !! and Roll on the Spring so we can all get out there and do what we all LOVE go fishing !!!

will do a little report of my last few session when i got a bit more time...
And yeah was a lovely day today would been even better if fish had hit the net

Some Autumn float fishing ...
in Ontario

Hey up folks been doing a spot off gentle Autumn float fishing on my local River
Real Margin fishing with a 9ft Extractor and fav Waggler with a hook bait of one plastic corn pushed to the eye of the hook and below that two Power Gulp Maggots on a size 10 Hook and 10 pound line
just cast a rod length out just out past near near side reed bed .
while feeding little and often Cow Corn Chick pea and Hemp Mix , been fun and a nice way to catch fish , hope i can get a least a couple more good sessions in before the big freeze..

Always loved sitting on the floor of a river bank nice close to the water up tight to with your rod , takes me back to being a kid ...
