Yeah i already looked at the greys on Carpkit but its $166 + postage way over my Budgit , but does look a really good rod two rods in one
but sadly just dont have that kinda Money . (unless can find it cheaper haha ).

I do most my fishing on a couple little Creeks and Rivers which can be tight so 13 feet rod is a bit
much so this coming April i will again be treating myself to a new Rod but not shore really what im going to get yet. i want really a nice 9ft or 10ft stalker which i can use as a bit of an all rounder to
use for float fishing and a small method feeder or lead. But Float fishing Mostly.
Might get this ........... http://www.carpkit.c...icator-rod-9ft/ anyone get better suggestions ? baring in mind i only have around 100 bucks which would include postage.
I Have looked on Carpkit and BCT but apparently BCT wont Post big items like Rods to Canada . which is a shame as there this nice Rod.. http://www.bigcarpta...productid=20006 ( thanks COMMONANGLER for that ) .
anyway any suggestions would be cool, so lets talk Rods ha

Nice job with the waggler, what sort of rod are you using for your float fishing, I had a barbel rod I brought over from England, superb for waggler and drift beater fishing, sadly I snapped it, was I p----d.

For Float fishing i am only using a Cheap Little Total Tackle Spin Rod which bought from Canadian tire for 25 bucks when i first moved from England
i got it just so i could get out and do a bit of fishing, its been damn fine little Rod for 25 Bucks caught a lot of fish with it biggest being 22 Lbs and that to was on the Float.
Last April got myself nice Big Carp rod which i use on the bigger water during May/June. but i do most my fishing on a couple little Creeks and Rivers which can be tight so 13 feet rod bit

10 Carp .
Went out for a few hours Tuesday Morning to my Local Creek (after blanking Sunday on the Canard River) for once this spot on the creek
wasn't moving really fast, usually there lots movement to the water , i have been fishing this spot with a Small method feeder which i bought back from England but sadly lost my last two to
snags on Sunday, so i started of with just a simple Small running Lead , with hook bait (on a Hair) of Sweet Corn. with Pults of Maze and Bread, Cornflakes Mix.
After half hour so seem to be getting very light touches but no real bites, also missed couple then it went dead for hour then there was a nice splash in the Margin to my left
so i moved on down closer to the bank to have look and chucked out a few hand fulls of Maze , and shore enough bubbles . time to change things then.
So i change to my Fav little Waggler put 3 bits of sweet corn direct to the Hook and first Cast that little Waggler was soon on the Move and so it went for the next hour and half
resulting in 10 Lovely looking Carp all between 6 and 11 Lbs but sadly time fly's and i had to pack up and go pick the Wife up from Work.
Was a Lovely Mornings fishing the Sun was shining the trees on the change with all there lovely Colors even sat for a time in a T shirt
no better way to spend a lovely Fall Morning . eww but How Many More am i going to get before the Big Freeze ? hah ha

Hope you get a good turn out and lots nice Fish hit the Net. Bit far for me to travel but ill be there in spirit haha. i will be out tomorrow sitting at the banks of the River Canard only ever netted two fish before in the spot i am planning on going
but they were both over 20 Lbs , fingers x for more of the same.
Tight Lines and have fun Guys !!! brr its getting chilly out there.....................

Went out to the same spot again yesterday just for couple hours before work. 5 More Hit the Net all around the same size
the best of the Bunch...................
'Out again tomorrow to a different and more challenging spot, only ever netted two Carp from there before but they were both over 20Lbs
so fingers X for more of the same.
tight lines folks soon be the big freeze so more fishing for me until March , but will keep going now until to cold or no more catching.

Well that was a interesting Morning to say the least, the alarm went off at 7 am had my Tea and toast , off to the Garage to get my Gear Sniff Sniff what the ? GAS !!! that's not good real strong smell of GAS
i head out towards the Car with my gear , Yep GAS real strong so strong nearly knocked me over, then i heard it hissing coming from next door. i go over to towards the hissing sound the Smell getting stronger and Stronger , and yep there it is GAS leaking out the Pipe right next to our next door Neighbors GAS meter . oh oh this isn't good , better go Knock on Dave's door and tell him.
This i do ahh but what about my Fishing there is noway i can start my Car which is only about 4 Feet away from the leak damn .so much for a nice early start to my Fishing this Morning.
well a whole hour latter the GAS Company decide to turn Up (gee the whole Street Could gone up by then geesh ). another 30 Min go by they give the all clear i can now Move my Car.
The Wife " you still going fishing Love " ? Well duh haha.
So finally after all the Drama i set of for some nice Me time and some Angling . fishing light today as i know most the fish were i am going are only between 5 and 10 LBs
so just taking my Old Wallmart spinning Rod with a size 8 hook , a real small Feeder from England , With Bait of Cornflakes. Bread Hemp, and 6 Bean Can Mix. and a Hook Bait of Canned Sweet Corn.
The river is finally up and Moving really fast , i chum up with Some Balls of the , Cornflakes , Bread, Hemp, Mix and some. Putts of Cow Corn.
First Cast two Mins ii am in to a fish . and so it went for next couple Hours 12 Carp and 1 Nice channel Cat . all the Carp were between 5 and 8 Lbs but boy they were fun to Catch in the fast moving water on light
gear them little buggers love a good scrap . Had a Blast . Man i do love the fishing over here Nothing like this back home in the Old Country LOVE it .
One of the 12 they all pretty much looked like this ........ i am going again tomorrow i love fishing in Ontario !!!.

Thats one nice Fish Shawn , yep gotta Love Float fishing its the only way i have fished really until recently , i bought back with me from England some lovely little Method feeders been using them
seem to be working , 12 Carp hit my net this Morning though no big ones .
I Have have yet to fish using a Center Pin . something i think will be trying Next year. hopefully father Xmass is going to bring me a new float Rod and Reel.
Good to see you here Corndog . glad your still at it. Not using the Cornflakes Mix then ? haha.

Nice one . Lovely looking gurt Carp . i am off out tomorrow Morning for few hours , i can smell my boiling Maze from downstairs as i write this
got my Method Bait made up ,Cornflakes, Bread. Hemp Seed and Tin of Walmart Six bean Blend . going to be using a hook bait of Strawberry Monster Maze and Maybe a Kidney bean .

Went out again today same spot was a long and Cold Windy day and the water level has dropped even More
still no real rain. talk to guy who lives on the river he said its the lowest the river has been for over 20 years. tough going down here normally Fall down here is good for a good few nice big Carp but with water levels so low not been good.I Need to hunt down some new spots but not easy as traveling not easy when we are a one Car family with work etc etc. still i will keep trying to catch them buggers.

For a Small fish he took of like a Torpedo was nice fight in the fast Current.
Hope to get out couple times again next week. if i can find a place were the water levels give me any chance of Catching .

Lovely jumbly . Fall normally a good time around here for netting some nice big Carp , BUT still noooo rain and water levels in all my usual local spots still very low
went out yesterday and a cold and windy day it was to 4 small fish hit the net been tough going down here since the end of June.
Need to find some new spots for fishing but dont have much chance of traveling to far , you guys lucky have such nice spots to fish. but hey still got got to catch em Eh,

I nearly Turned around went home. I Had Friday marked as my Fishing Morning as it was the only day i could have the Car, the Weather forecast wasn't good high winds and showers
shore enough up at 6am this morning and it's really windy , but no Rain, so had my Morning Cuppa tea and My Cornflakes and set off.
And yep it was really windy and there is some pretty mean looking clouds coming in over the Lake towards Cedar Creek were i was planning on fishing i got to the spot and OH No the water Level it's down again a good foot lower than two evenings ago when i was here having a mooch around damn things are not looking good, so sat in my Car for awhile looking out at the water.
Hmmmm do i turn around go home ? i have a recording project i need to be working on i could go home get stuck into that , instead of trying to Fish in Gail i sat in my Car and pondered this for awhile
hmmm . um hmmm um err err oh stop being a wuusss i am here now lets give it a go .
What a good decision that turned out to be 10 Carp and 2 Channel Cats in 4 Hours , ok no big Fish but considering the conditions was a damn good Mornings fishing.
so glad i didn't turn around go home.
I Fished using a small Method feeder ( which i had bought back with me from my Visit back home in the old country) with a feed mix of Bread, Cornflakes, hemp seed, and Crushed Dried Cat food.
with a hooked bait of Strawberry Monster Maze.
My Simple little Set up. Note the water Levels, the water would normally be right up over the rocks .
First Carp of the Morning Second Fish First was a Channel Cat of Around 3 Lbs.

Btw those look like channel cats, not bullheads....;-)
Yeah there Channel Cats my Daughter caught the bullheads , no pics of them (biggest was around a pound) the big channel cat was 12 Lbs .

Yeah Fishing been out a few times last couple days but its tough out there all the local spots the water levels are really really low so it's
been hard going getting them there fish on to the bank but got a few smallish ones but right now any fish is damn good fish.
Took my 16 year Daughter on one of the fishing trips she got 10 bullheads and a nice hybrid her first fish of the carp family first of many i am shore ,she had a blast
and wants to go again as soon as possible she is a fast learner and wants to start tying her own rigs already she is a natural with a fishing rod a chip of the ole block as they say. going to do a Rain Dance tonight cause we need Rain soooooooooooooooooo bad.

Then there the Middy White Knuckle Waggler Rod . but notshore it would be anygood when using a small feeder . but it's in my price range.
