  1. I'm interested in attending this event but have a couple of questions:

    1. Do anglers fish the same peg both days or redraw on Sunday morning?

    2. What is the fee to enter?

    3. Are there cash prizes?

    4. Are there good hotels close to the venue?

    5. Based on reading Tracy's post prior to this one- is it a team event or individual?

    Thanks!

  2. I'll never understand why anyone would want budget priced hooks- it's the only piece of kit that comes into contact with the fish so why rely on an Ebay special or bulk offer. Pay a couple of bucks more for quality and peace of mind. Korda, Gardner Mugga, and my personnal favourite Nash Fang X are all excellent hooks. Wouldn't dream of using a poor quality hook and risking losing a good fish, or even PB because it failed.

  3. I have quite a few bits and pieces to bring along, but my main item is a Reuben Heaton 4000 Series Specimen Hunter 60lb set of scales. Model number 4060-100s. Comes complete with night light, weigh bar, and Reuben Heaton case. First $100 gets it.

  4. I hate captive backleads- lost 2 decent fish in a tournament because they tangled around my line and wouldn't release- now I use Korda, but epoxy them together with the opening just proud of the rubber sleave. Tracy's idea is a good one- way cheaper than Korda!

  5. Saying as we're not going to be able to catch any of the Parade, are there any bonus points awarded for anglers fishing while wearing Village People outfits? I can see a few guys pulling off the Construction Guy or Motorcycle Cop look LOL!

I'd be fine with 2 rods from here on out.

  6. Hi Tracy, thanks for beginning to explain the how the places are decided, but I'm still totally confused! What is the determining factor in winning the League overall? You said in the previous post that it sure helps to catch the most fish, but I'm not sure it does. If average weight of fish is more important than either number of fish, or total weight of fish, then surely it would be better to only submit larger fish and throw smaller ones back without even weighing them. If I only submitted my 2 largest fish from yesterday, then I would have an average of 16lbs 2 ozs and be in joint first place, but I'm now in 6th because I submitted all 7 fish that I caught.

  7. Love my SK3'S- cast well and play fish really well. My buddy just bought a set of SK4's and is well pleased with his purchase- 3.25lbs had a 50 mm but ring. I agree with Robert's suggestion- Youtube has a few good casting demos which will help you no end!
