  1. This is what im talking about beautiful pics and fish!!!!! I could not see them that good at all on leader board. Awesome catches good luck on your next adventure out. Ill be joining tomorrow since its pay day will have the extra money to join.

  2. Maybe its just  a mistake it happens i would think. Maybe he thought he weighed it in kg so 20kg to 40lb

When it might of been 20lb? Its a nice fish. Weight wise Im not sure....

I have seen many tall people 6ft + that make a 50lb buff look high 20lb.

Sometimes the pic makes it look a lot smaller we should know soon.

Please post pics of your fish if possible anyone fishing the big 4. didn't want to make thread about calling people out. But i see some points. Forum=open discussion

  3. wow just seen a 40lb mirror caught can we get some pics on the forum of it. that is a spectacular catch the leader board pics are never that good. anyone know his forum name?

i wanted to start this thread so we can see the awesome pics of the fish people are catching. leader board pics are small and we cant get a good look of the fish being caught. i will post mine when i go out this weekend

  4. Cant believe i miss this thread!!! Good luck fishing out there lets see some pics Washingtoncarper:D i have noticed over the last several years ALMOST all lakes in the usa have the same strain of carp. Except some places where there is absolute monsters. But most places have the same starin im talking about. Some have had some 30s maybe 40s and it seems just by the shape of the fish they are only able to get so big to begin with. So something in the 30s or 40s is spectacular for those lakes just a theory. I have only caught so many 30s in area lakes around me. But even fish in the 7-teens show the shape of the fish that im yalking about.

But with the soft mesh (knotless) nets, it seems like one carp in every three I catch get the dorsal fin hung up.  So is it better to keep the fish out of the water longer to untangle a snagged fin from the soft mesh, or risk damage to a scale or a fin with my net?  Neither one is a good option, of course.  But (short of no longer fishing for carp) which does less permanent harm to the fish?

i see what your saying i have had that happen before where in gets hung up on the fin... i have noticed it only happens when you lift up on the net a certain way in the last 6 months it has only happened 1 time its a matter of trial and error. taking the fin off in case it happens is not very difficult at all just move it one way or another and itll come off its like taking out a wind knot on your line experience is key. if i had to choose either or like you said and i continuously had that problem which i wont say it cant happened.... i would purchase a rubber coated one its the best of both worlds strong and you dont have to worry about fins, tails, scales and a bonus smell if your bothered by the smell.

  6. nice fish seems like  a great day out i've had that happen to me a long time ago with walmart swivels eagle claw, you should try investing in a knot less net as the one you have can really mess up the carp tail or fins maybe even break them. reason i bring it up you can see in some photos then net cut into the tails.
