  1. I have had issues with certain safety clips, I would cast out (nothing heavier than a 2.5oz lead) and reel back in, the tail snapped just before the bend, this would happen a couple of times, I found out that the clips where a bad mould batch, plus the company sold 2 different colours brown and green, I was using the green, they sent me the brown ones and I didnt have a problem after that. The major factor I find is what size lead you use, Distance casting with heavy leads puts stress on the tail and the tail rubber when you load up to cast, as you know materials that manufacturers use can be different, some clips can be a harder compound plastic, some tail rubbbers can be soft or hard. K-1 baits makes a good distance clip, the tail is metal and the tail rubber is the same as what you would usually use (it still drops the lead when snagged up), aggresive distance casting and heavy leads can be a contributing factor to lead drops. I haven realy had any great issues with safety clips, the only piece I might change is the tail rubber. Just my opinion lads :party0012icon:

  2. The PVA bag knot fits through the large ring, then you slide the knot down the elongated slot on the swivel, it works perfect and be cast over a 100yrds (depending on bag size and TC of your rods)

As for most carp fishing tackle its down to personal choice, you do not know how its going to perform untill you try it yourself, this is just an idea that I have started using by trying something different

  3. Arrived in Birmingham, Alabama from Mobile, Alabama Friday night. Weather conditions seemed favorable from what the local weather station stated (as you know never believe local weather stations because their never right lol). Went to the resevoir at 5:30am this morning and began to bait up with my own concoction of particles. Marker float deploid to 3 areas at 80yds. Began baiting a line of bait with the spomb (great piece of kit, Spomb, Nash Dispatch Spod Rod, Wychwwood Big Pit Reel, mainline 65lb test Power-pro Braid). Approximatly 3 gallons of particles and 1lb of boilies laid out for patroling carp to find.

First run came at 2:30pm, small common about 12lb, didnt get a pic because the wife was having a kip (sleep) in the truck.

Second came at around 3:15pm, another common 16lb 4oz

Third one was caught at 3:30pm, common 15lb 7oz

All in all, day one was a productive day for a change. "TOMORROW IS ANOTHER DAY" day two.
