  1. I got my PB the other day from Chicago River. Started getting serious about Carp almost a year ago and finally broke the 20lb mark. I got a 23 Lb 8 oz Common Carp on Thursday. I was fishing from 4-pm until 830pm when this thing came in. I was about to pack up the last fishing rod and then BAM! Got this guy!

  2. Hey there fellow Carp Anglers, my name is Jason and I recently joined the CAG in September. I reside in Elk Grove Village. I've been fishing all my life that I can remember. Mostly fishing for anything that hits a worm or lure. I started fishing for Carp about 12 years ago in Salt Creek, which is connected to Busse Woods and runs through Elk Grove. Mainly floating bread down the creek, from the bridge. Usually lost all the carp in the weeds or a broken line. hardly landed them. Then found a few better places to fish from the creek and was landing some of them. I would say mostly 3-10 pound fish. It wasn't big into carp until recently that I met someone who was really into fishing, particularly Carp Fishing. I became interested when I found out he was catching 20-30 pound carp. Now as far as fishing goes for me, I have always been one to try and catch a bigger one, no matter which species it is. This past year and a half or so I have been learning more and more about Carp Fishing. My friend Marcin (fishfasol) has referred me and I plan on catching more carp soon. I'm looking to find some good carp spots in my area. I haven't done much fishing in Busse Woods for carp, only couple times, and only caught 1 carp. If anyone has had a good experience at either of the dams from Busse let me know. I'm guessing that would be the main places to fish for carp. I'm tired of going there and getting skunked. Anyways I am here in Elk Grove and looking forward to more fishing in the future. any questions you know where to find me - Jason
