No problem with the boca grips when used right. *** but when your hauling a 15+lb carp vertically from the water by its soft lips with only a boca grip for a money shot, its just poor practice man.*** Its not a game fish with a boney hard mouth, which is what flyfisherman usually target. I've fly fished my entire life, yes for carp, yes i have a trout net i carry with me that works perfect for carp under 20lbs i use it when i fly fish rivers for bass and other fish in my chestwaiters , and ya i manage to work them in carefully wear them out enough to make a easy net(even on flowing waters)Im not saying boca grips are wrong when used right, ive seen your other posts i know you care for the carp you catch bill, it wasnt ment to be directed at you, just as comment from another angler. Cheers bud

Great vid.. but pickerd is right, holding a carp that size vertically with boga grips kinda ruined it for me.. I'm a Carp Care Nut, any fish for that matter.

Up here in Canada Were at our prime for fall feeding for the upcoming winter, probbly up till it freezes over, personally from Oct-late nov is prime time for big lunks. Maybe they feel the pressure to feedup more cause our winters are that much colder and food options go way down? My 2cents anyway from a canadian carper mind, but Ontario local forums are going crazy this time of year.
Goodluck out there

Love that bivvy, so many screens and ventilation

Probbly if you ask him, hes solid like that, and that is a really decent reel for the money aswell, good reviews!
