We all do it lol, sooner or later.. Some more then others. QD's or BAitrunner levers seen it all, i use the nash camlock gripper butts now and so do a few people i fish with, saved a couple setups for sure they dont let go. Enjoyed the read, glad ya got your gear back, those sax's are $$

Good stuff capt, you are really living the life! Thx for the post

Gonna use the float reel this year for sure, cant wait. when i float for steel with a spining reel ii use the anti reverse switch, flip it on and i reel the spool backwards to go with the drift, tbh that method is probbaly just effective to present a natual flowing bait, just make sure you hold the handle when setting the hook lol. i did the salmon run for years but the rivers//tribs have got so bad around the gta with loogans i cant be bothered with it anymore, ill chuck metal from em of the piers when they are fresh at night and wait till colder temps when the meaters are gone and go for steel in the tribs. Really need more C/O's out there, knuckle dragging snaggers have pushed the real fisherman out

Yup lots of flossing going on, love it when people think those black boot salmon actually took their bait, lolzzzzz. Props on avoiding the snag fest, i wait for chrome

Strongest knot and easy to tie, use it on all my swivel knots, never had it slip
