I own a shimmy arelex spod reel, Solid workhorse, with a huge rate of retrieve,solid gearing, 3 line clips and best of all it uses the same quickdrag as the XTB shimano reels, solid and smooth drag, though i only use it for spodding, it uses the same spools as other shimano quickdrag reels aswell, so you can interchange spodline/regular line spools.
