I think you should also consider the availability of good protein food available, follow the spread of zebra mussel and other shellfish. from the north and I am sure it would mimic the growth of big carp. The TN river produces lots of fish in the 20-40lb range and the banks are littered with crushed shell. In GA, most lakes seem fairly barren and also weed free by comparison. The carp average about half the size of TN, both states enjoy a similar climate, similar predators and bow fishing. The best GA has to offer seem to come from lakes with a weed problem and the rivers that do seem to hold a better head of shellfish.
